Looking to put together an easy client event?

First of all, bravo! Client events are one of the best ways to get in front of the people in your community and build brand awareness by leading with value.

And when it comes to client event ideas, a community blood drive has to be one of the best of the best!

Let me explain.

My team and I recently hosted a blood drive. It was one of the best, easiest and cheapest client events that we’ve ever hosted.

And it created the most goodwill.

So, here are three tips you can use to get the most out of hosting a blood drive in your community.

Tip #1: Reach Out to a Local Blood Bank

We worked with a local hospital, Cedar Sinai. They charge nothing to bring their blood bus to us. All they asked for was a parking lot that was private and access to a bathroom.

Tip #2: Create a Marketing Campaign

We created some carousel posts, an email campaign, and a couple of videos that we shared with our database on social media that created a little buzz and attention—and, honestly, it created a lot of goodwill in our community.

Tip #3: Organize Food for the Event

We typically use a local taco vendor because it gives us the most bang for our buck. But truthfully, if you just want to keep is super simple, just share some water, snacks, or any sort of light refreshments.

All in all, we spent a total of $500 on this event, and that was exclusively for food because the print marketing was supplied by the blood bank.

So, this is a no-brainer client event that we plan to do every couple of months. I can’t imagine something else that’s this easy to host and that creates this kind of goodwill.

If you have any questions about organizing an event like this, feel free to shoot me a DM. And if you found this helpful, share it with an agent you know.
