For every holiday, your goal should be to post content that provides value with new or helpful information.
If you’re not doing that, then share something personal, like what you’re doing with your family.
Posting or sending something that just says “Happy Labor Day” is actually criminal at this point.
LDW themes to keep in mind: People are going on vacation, coming back from vacation, grilling, watching college football, hanging out outdoors, sweating, heat, downtime, drinking, partying, sitting in traffic, eating, going to parades/events, etc.
With that in mind…
Labor Day Weekend Content Ideas
#1. Local News or LDW Events
If there is any news in your community or a restaurant/bar doing something special for LDW, break it down green-screen style or with a news headline post.

#2. Top 3 Labor Day Events in [City]
Round up what’s happening in your area. Think parades, concerts, food festivals, and fireworks.
Include the times, price, and one quick tip like where to park, how early to arrive, or the best place to watch.
Remember, the more specific the hook, the better it will perform. So think “3 Kid-friendly Labor Day Events that cost nothing.”
#3. Labor Day Weekend Survival Kit in [City]
Or you can use a different hook like, “If you’re staying in [city] this weekend here’s what’s happening.”
- Weather outlook for the weekend
- What’s open/what’s not
- Event suggestions

#4. How My Clients Are Celebrating Labor Day in [City]
Or “Thank God I found my client this home before Labor Day because now he/she gets to do this,” and then pics of them grilling.
This could be a good storytelling opportunity. Share a client photo of their new backyard, pool, or patio, and add a quick note about how you helped them land the perfect home just in time for the end-of summer holiday.
5. Subtle Open House Promo
If you have an open house this weekend, don’t just post “Open house Sunday.” Hide it in a value-driven hyper-local post like:
What to do this weekend in [City] for LDW
- Friday: check out [ ] for live music
- Saturday: head to [ ] for a food festival
- Sunday: stop by my open house from 2-5
- Monday: brunch at [ ]
We also have this template available for you in BAMx. Grab it here.
6. College Football Kicks Off
College football really starts Saturday. If you’re a fan, post predictions for your school’s record, mention your favorite bars, tailgate spots, or places to watch the games.

#7. Summer End Review Carousel
Summer officially ends after Labor Day, so do a “My summer end review” carousel drop. Include vacations, personal stuff you did, sales, happy client photos, etc.
Also, now that summer is over… if you want to get serious with your content game and marketing, I highly suggest you try our BAMx membership. We just opened it up for this for a free trial that will only last through the weekend.
So, take advantage of our free trial this weekend and get 7 days of instant access plus all of the templates above.
Have a great weekend!
