September is great for four reasons:
- Football is back.
- The weather is getting better.
- The real estate market starts waking back up.
- People start paying attention to content again.
Summer is basically over, people are getting back into their routines, and after Labor Day, there are officially no excuses not to get serious about your content again.
The good news is September gives you plenty to work with.
Here are your September 2026 content ideas for real estate agents.
September 1-7: Labor Day Week
Put yourself in the shoes of someone who actually lives in your market. We know YOU might be showing houses this weekend, but what is everyone else doing?
People are traveling. Going on vacation. Coming back from vacation. Grilling. Watching college football. Going to the beach. Sitting in traffic. Drinking. Eating. Going to events. Hanging outside. Trying to squeeze one last summer weekend out of the year.
Here are some rapid-fire, timely ideas.
1. Labor Day Weekend Events in [City]
Round up the biggest things happening around your market.
Think concerts, parades, festivals, farmers’ markets, fireworks, sporting events, and anything else people might actually want to attend.
Don’t just list them. Add your filter and make the hook specific: Labor Day Weekend Events in (City) for new parents. Labor Day Weekend Events in () for singles looking to get after it.
The more specific your hook, the better it will perform.
2. Break Local Labor Day News
If a restaurant, bar, hotel, park, or local business is doing something special for Labor Day Weekend, talk about it.
This is perfect for a green-screen video or news-style headline post.
Deliver the information first, then give your opinion.
That’s what makes the content yours.
3. Turn a Price Reduction Into a “Labor Day Sale”
Have a listing that recently reduced its price?
Instead of another graphic that says:
PRICE REDUCTION!
Call it a “Labor Day Sale.”
It’s cheeky and timely.
4. Best Places to Grill and Chill in [City]
Highlight local parks with BBQ pits, beaches, rooftop patios, brewery backyards, lakefront spots, or anywhere people gather outside.
You can even divide the list into categories:
Best for families. Best for groups. Best views. Best place to day drink. Best place to avoid everyone entirely.
5. Best Butcher Shops and Markets for Your Labor Day BBQ
This is easy hyper-local content.
Highlight the best butcher shops, grocery stores, farmers’ markets, or specialty food stores in your area.
6. The Labor Day Weekend Survival Guide to [City]
Put everything people need for the weekend into one carousel or Reel:
- Weather forecast
- Biggest events
- Best food spots
- Traffic warnings
- Parking tips
- Beach or lake information
- What to bring
- Places to avoid
Make yourself useful. We’ve got a template for this ready to customize inside BAMx:

7. Hide Your Open House Inside Useful Content
Instead of:
“OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY 2-5!”
Make a post about what to do over Labor Day Weekend in your city.
Thursday: cocktails at [local spot]
Friday: live music at [local venue]
Saturday: [local festival]
Sunday: stop by my open house from 2-5
Monday: brunch at [local restaurant]
Now you’re promoting the open house without making the entire piece of content an ad.

10. Get Personal
Post what you’re actually doing over Labor Day Weekend.
Your family. Your barbecue. Your trip. Your college football setup. Your completely overcooked burgers.
People want to know the person behind the real estate content.
You do not need to somehow connect every single thing you post back to mortgage rates.
All Month: Football Content
College football is underway and the NFL regular season kicks off September 9th..
If you care about football, post about it.
1. Best Places to Watch Football in [City]
This is one of the easiest hyper-local posts you can make.
“5 Best Sports Bars to Watch Football in Scottsdale”
“Where Eagles Fans Watch Games in Phoenix”
“If you’re a () fan, this is my go-to spot in () to watch.”
The more specific, the better.
![Football 3 - BAM Triptych card layout: left photo of a man at a sports bar holding a beer, with the headline 'WATCHING FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND? HERE ARE MY FAVORITE SPOTS IN [MARKET]'; middle panel titled 'MY GO-TO SPORTS BARS' listing Spots 1–5 over a gradient sky; right panel titled 'HIDDEN GEMS' listing Spots 1–3 with a red note about types (e.g., hotels, breweries, restaurants with good TV setups).](https://nowbam.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Football-3.png)
2. Rep Your College
Use college football as an excuse to tell people where you went to school.
Wear the jersey. Put something from your school in the background of your content.. Talk about your experience there.
You’d be surprised how many conversations something as simple as a college pennant can start. There’s a reason I keep a USC banner in the background of all of my videos.
Give people little reasons to relate to you.
3. Share Your Rivalries
If you’re a Michigan fan, you can say something like, “Come stop by my open house on Sunday…unless you went to Ohio State.”
4. Football at Your Open House
If there’s a big game happening during your open house, put it on.
Then mention it in your promotion.
“Yes, I’ll have the game on.”
For the right market and audience, that tiny detail can make the open house feel more inviting.
5. Predict Your Team’s Record
Put your team’s schedule behind you on green screen and go game by game.
Win.
Win.
Loss.
Win.
“Absolutely no chance.”
Prediction content naturally creates comments because everyone wants to tell you why you’re wrong. Also, this one would be great for retention because people want to see all the way through the schedule.
6. Football + Real Estate
How about some ChatGPT image slop?
“If Big Ten schools were neighborhoods in [City].”
September 5: International Day of Charity
You could create “3 Local Charities Making a Difference in [City],” carousel.
This is another category where your personal connection matters.
Don’t just tell people a charity exists. Explain why you care about it.
September 18: National Cheeseburger Day
Create a carousel ranking the “Top 3 Cheeseburgers in [City].”
“The best cheeseburger in () that doesn’t make you sick the next day.”
“If you’re in the mood for a cheeseburger that won’t sit with you for days…
I don’t know maybe those ideas are personal to me.
Or go headline style:
“[RESTAURANT] NAMED BEST BURGER IN [CITY]”
Except YOU are the source.
Make your own ranking and defend it.

Through September 22: Virgo Season
This idea originally came from my Virgo wife, so take it up with her.
Virgo season runs through September 22, and Virgo energy is supposedly about details, organization, practicality, and perfectionism.
Sounds suspiciously like someone who would be an absolute nightmare during a home inspection.
But there’s plenty of content here.
“If You’re a Virgo, You’ll Love This House”
Walk through a listing and specifically highlight the organization, storage, symmetry, cleanliness, built-ins, pantry, closet system, or other ridiculously satisfying details.

“Only Watch This Listing Tour If You’re a Virgo”
Same concept, stronger hook.
Then explain exactly why a Virgo would appreciate the property.
Details Buyers Actually Notice
Use Virgo season as the hook for legitimate real estate advice.
“Virgo season reminder: Buyers absolutely notice this stuff.”
Then show scuffed baseboards, dirty grout, chipped paint, cluttered countertops, bad staging, or anything else sellers tend to overlook.
The Virgo Guide to Selling Your House
Create a checklist for the hyper-organized seller who wants every detail handled.
September 22: First Day of Fall
Fall officially begins September 22.
“What Fall means for the real estate market here in [Market].”
Will cover more of these next month.
September 29: National Coffee Day
This might be the easiest hyper-local content day of the entire month.
Everyone has a favorite coffee shop.
Rank the best coffee shops in your city.
“Best Coffee Shops to Work From in [City]”
“Best Coffee Shops Within Walking Distance of [Neighborhood]”
“Most overrated coffee shop in [City].”
Content Themes to Use All September
Back-to-School Reality
Now that everyone has actually been back in school for a few weeks, create content around the reality of school traffic, morning routines, commutes, after-school activities, and neighborhoods popular with families.
There you go.
The Agent Play
If I had to give one social media tip for this month, it would be to give your opinion.
Don’t just share the news, share your take. Everyone is slopping together ChatGPT scripts that have no soul. You stand out in the feed today by showing your perspective.
Btw, if you haven’t tried BAMx yet, we’re opening up a free 7-day trial for this week only.
