Ahh, yes. You blinked and it’s June. The official kickoff to summer and vacation season. As we get deeper into the month, everyone you need to reach in your real estate transactions will suddenly become unreachable.
You finally showed your desperate buyer “the one,” but now he’s in Barbados, drunk off his ass and unable to click a DocuSign.
Truly a magical time to be an agent!
Some agents take their foot off the gas in the summer. Others double down and crush content.
Let’s hope you’re the latter.
Here’s your June 2026 content plan.
National Homeownership Month
Why does this exist? Does anyone care?
Personally, I find it insufferable. But let’s trendjack it anyway.
According to NAR, National Homeownership Month is a time to “promote the benefits of homeownership” and “create opportunities for future homeowners.”
So here is some content that will not insult renters.
Homeowner Journeys
Tell the story of someone you just helped become a homeowner for the first time. Share pictures of the family, couple, or individual and talk about their journey. This is way better than another “why buying is better than renting” slop post.
We actually have a template for you in BAMx that shares client excitement in a clever carousel that’s guaranteed to get engagement.
Key Moments
Post a compilation Reel of clients receiving their keys.
Reintroduce Yourself
In honor of Homeownership Month, tell the story of why you got into real estate and what you like most about it. (Hint: the feeling of seeing your clients become homeowners.)
Not:
“Because I love houses or because I wanted to make my own schedule and make BANK.”
As Byron says, you need a pitch.
Tell your true, authentic story:

Homeowner Wealth
Sure, you can also throw out a few stats.
For example, homeowners’ median net worth is nearly $400,000. Federal Reserve data showed homeowner median net worth around $396,000 compared to roughly $10,400 for renters.
But be careful not to rent-shame. We’re in a very sensitive time right now where affordability is the number one issue, and agents flashing how great being a homeowner is might not be the move.
The move here is telling stories and sharing happy images, videos, texts (testimonials), and experiences from clients. That’s what people connect with.
June 1: Pride Month Begins
Great month to spotlight LGBTQ+ owned businesses or create a guide to local events in your market.
June 4: National Cheese Day
One of the few fake holidays worth celebrating.
If you’re hosting an open house that weekend, reference it and say you’ll have a cheese spread in honor of National Cheese Day. Stretch? Of course. But it could be another way to promote your open house.
The hyperlocal route is even better. If there’s a local cheese shop, sandwich shop, or anywhere you love getting cheese, today is the day to shout them out.
June 6: National Donut Day
Same play as Cheese Day.
Shout out your go-to donut shop. Bring a box to your next open house and post about it. Or just go secretly crush donuts and don’t post about it.
June 8: National Best Friends Day
Insert cheesy post about how your clients become friends and the hardest part about selling them a home is that you’re not hanging out as much afterward.
June 18-21: U.S. Open Golf Tournament
The 2026 U.S. Open tees off at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.
If you’re a golfer, here are some content ideas to trendjack while everyone is focused on golf. You don’t even have to mention the U.S. Open. It will simply be a time when everyone is thinking about golf, making it a great opportunity to post golf-related content.
Ideas:
- Top 3 Public Courses in [Your City]
- Best Golfing Neighborhoods in [Your City]
- Best Golf Communities in [Your City]
Reel idea:
Hit a golf shot and deliver a quick market update or talk about a nearby listing.
Watching a golf swing is the ultimate hook. Viewers have to stick around to see if you shanked it in the trees or striped it down the middle.
Built-in retention.
June 21: Father’s Day
Or, as real estate agents call it, National Home Inspector’s Day.
HAHA GET IT!?
I’m at the point where I think the dad-at-the-home-inspection joke is overused and dead.
Anyway, here are a few Father’s Day content ideas.
Top Home Features Dads Love
Oversized garages. Home theaters. Outdoor kitchens. Grills.
Two-for-one idea: feature a listing with features a dad would love.
Last-Minute Hyperlocal Gift Ideas
If you live in [Your City] and forgot a gift for dad, post a few quick local recommendations. Restaurants, experiences, easy wins.
Dream Day for Dad
Describe what a perfect day would look like for a dad in your city. Start with the ideal breakfast spot, then get into some fatherly activities in your local market.
For example, in LA it would be a beach walk, big breakfast at (insert spot), Dodgers game, afternoon nap, and then steak dinner at Baltair.
Heartfelt Post
Share a story about your dad or how your clients’ dads helped during their home-buying journey.
Or post about being a dad yourself, or advice your dad gave you that you now use in your real estate business.
For example:
“My dad is one of the most honest people I know, and that value has stayed with me throughout my entire life and career. The blatant honesty has been the true key to all of my content.”
That’s actually true by the way.
June 21: Summer Solstice
This is the official start of summer.
Here are some rapid-fire hyperlocal ideas:
- Summer bucket list in [Your City]
- Best family-friendly spots for kids
- Summer festivals guide
- Best beaches or pools
- Your favorite ice cream shops
- Best patios and rooftops for a summer cocktail
- Local June events
- What to do when the temperature gets above a certain degree
Give useful, opinionated, hyperlocal content like this.
Social Media Tips for June 2026
Warning: Summer can be a slower month for content.
People are not as engaged. Everyone is on vacation.
If your email open rates, YouTube views, or social media engagement dip, don’t freak out. It’s normal.
Keep posting anyway.
Build during the slow months.
A few things that are working right now:
Take out your phone and hit record. Share an opinion, don’t edit it, and post it as if you were publishing directly to your Story.
As you know, in a world of AI content, what stands out now are humans giving human takes, not some ChatGPT-generated script that’s completely lifeless.
Oh, and make sure your bio is optimized.
Here’s a 13-minute breakdown I filmed on everything you need to put in your profile to convert followers into clients. Watch it here.
