As we near the end of the third quarter, now is the perfect time to reflect on all the progress and achievements from the past three months and turn them into a compelling marketing piece.

This is a great opportunity to showcase all your hard work, successes, and memorable moments from quarter three in a way that engages your audience and strengthens your brand.

We’re currently working on a highlight reel that captures our favorite and most impactful content around our listings and the buyers we’ve represented, along with anything high-level footage and images—anything we’ve captured that deserves to be included in this recap.

This “sizzler” will showcase the best of what we do, while also providing fresh, engaging social media content designed to keep our audience excited and connected to our journey.

Tell a Story in Your Caption

Treat the caption as an opportunity to tell a meaningful story about what’s been happening over the last three months. This is your chance to highlight the impact you’ve made:

  • Families you’ve helped find their dream homes
  • Community events you’ve organized or participated in
  • Any other significant accomplishments you’re proud of

Captions are more than just a summary; they allow you to provide context, add a personal touch, and connect with your audience on a deeper level.

By distilling each moment into a concise, engaging narrative, you create the perfect complement to the video content, resulting in a more powerful, shareable social media piece that truly resonates.

Gathering Your Data

The first step in creating this recap piece is rounding up all the data.

We rely on a platform called Mosaik for our transaction management, which makes it easy to pull a comprehensive list of all our listings and the buyers we’ve represented.

If you don’t have Mosaik, you can use an Excel spreadsheet or any other tool you’re leaning on to keep your information organized.

Curating Your Highlights: Assembling the Perfect Recap Reel

Once you have your data, it’s time to start assembling the content—in other words, “making the sausage”—bringing together the best moments of the last quarter.

If you’ve shot a lot of listing videos, start by identifying your favorite clips. Go through the footage to find the segments that best capture your work, and start stitching them together into a cohesive highlight reel.

No Deals? No Problem: Creative Ways to Showcase Your Impact

If you didn’t have any listings last quarter, look at the b-roll you shot while showing homes to buyers. Did you capture any memorable moments of buyers in front of their new home?

If you don’t have original photos or videos, you can still pull images from sites like Zillow to include in your recap.

If you didn’t close any transactions last quarter, consider leveraging your team’s or office’s production. Did your team close any deals you can showcase? Did you host, organize or attend any community events? How about client appointments or consultations?

There’s always something to highlight.

The key is to create a compelling piece that showcases your hard work over the last three months, so consumers can see that you’re active, dedicated, and continuously helping people in your community.

I’m really curious to see what you would include in your recaps, so tag me if you make them. And if you found this helpful, make sure to share it with an agent you know.
