News you may have missed

The second week of the Sitzer/Burnett trial gave the jury plenty to chew on, with testimonies from defendants and their witnesses.

At one point, the plaintiff’s lead attorney, Michael Ketchmark, played a video clip of CEO of Real Living Real Estate and senior vice president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Allan Dalton on a podcast. In it, he shared a script that appeared to be an example of an agent responding harshly to being asked if they would lower their commission.

Defense attorneys filed a motion for a mistrial, which Judge Stephen R. Bough denied.

In related news, RE/MAX and Anywhere have agreed to a proposed settlement in the Nosalek commission lawsuit.

The Real Brokerage hosted its second annual RISE event in San Diego, CA, on October 22-24, where Real CEO Tamir Poleg and President Sharrán Srivatsaa announced new fintech solutions for agents, an end-to-end consumer app, and other timely tech developments.

And RealScout announced its newest and most significant upgrade since the company’s founding in 2012: RealScout Pro+ with Auto Nurture
