Announcing a new strategic partnership between Propy, a real estate tokenization platform, and Parcl, a DeFi (decentralized finance) protocol.

(According to Investopedia, DeFi uses emerging tech to remove centralized institutions and third parties from financial transactions, allowing people to transact financially with each other without a middleman).

The goal of this partnership is to use Parcl’s data integrations to enhance the onchain analytics of real estate minted on PropyKeys

As of this announcement, Propy has over $10 billion worth of U.S. residential properties minted and prepared for tokenization in its ecosystem. And the total value of minted properties is expected to exceed $50 billion by the end of 2024.

In just three months, Propy and PropyKeys have brought 200,000 U.S. home addresses onchain. That number includes 80,000 homes minted by their true owners. Many of these are currently for sale onchain.

Propy’s mission has always been to elevate and secure the real estate market, and our partnership with Parcl is taking this vision to the next level. By leveraging Parcl’s advanced analytics and real-time housing data, we are providing unparalleled accuracy and transparency in property valuations, empowering our users with the best possible tools to navigate the on-chain real estate landscape.

One home in particular should sound familiar to BAM readers: the $42 million mansion listed by bestselling author, real estate investor, and entrepreneur Grant Cardone

To gain access to the Parcl Labs API, Propy acquired and staked the $PRCL token. The plan is to leverage Parcl’s API for enhanced property valuation and analytics capabilities.

Parcl aggregates data from more than 5,000 sources covering rental properties, for-sale listings, and sales activity. Parcl also created the world’s first real-time home price index, filling a critical gap in the industry and paving the way for the next generation of housing applications, analytics, and machine learning.

Using this price index and Parcl’s real estate data API, the Propy ecosystem offers its users advanced tools for engaging with onchain real estate, making U.S. and global markets more accessible and secure.

We are excited about the potential to power other onchain applications by leveraging Parcl Labs data. Propy is a leader in the RWA space and continues to push the boundaries of what can be achieved by bringing physical real estate onchain. We expect the partnership to unlock more use cases for Propy and demonstrate what is possible for others looking to innovate in the real estate space.
