By now, you’ve probably seen a lot of advice on what people would do if they had to start all over with social media.

These can be super helpful—especially for folks just getting started. And when it comes to real estate content creation, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the suggestions out there.

So, let’s cut to the chase.

If I were starting my content journey all over again, with the goal of putting out value-based videos, this would be my approach.

My #1 tip: Keep it simple—and consistent

Ditching the shiny cameras and lights, I’d opt for the simplicity of my iPhone and an app like CapCut. As far as investments go, a tripod and maybe—just maybe—a good set of microphones would find a place in my setup.

I would record and post one video a week until it was as strong a habit as brushing my teeth.

No overthinking about buckets, platforms, or trying to do it all.

I would simply commit and show up once a week until I felt so confident, so strong in that content muscle—before adding another day and another day of shooting and posting content.

So, do yourself a favor in 2024: Give yourself some grace, keep it simple, and just get started
