Happy Valentine’s Day. Tonight I’m going to spend $300 on a meal that normally costs $80 for no reason at all. But, before I do…I wrote down a few easy ways to help you come up with content ideas

1. Recycle Your Old Content

It’s simple. Repost and reformat your old content. Go back through your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook, find your top-performing posts, and repurpose them. If a post worked well in the past, chances are it will work well again.

Worried people will notice? They won’t. No one remembers, and no one cares. I’ve been using this strategy on The Broke Agent for 10 years—repeating the same 30 concepts in different formats. For example, if a “dad at an inspection” meme performs well, I’ll use that same caption on different images, videos, or tweets. I literally reposted one yesterday, and it’s as if no one has ever seen it before. WHAT FOOLS!

You can do the same. If you posted a hyper-local Reel about your favorite Valentine’s Day restaurant last year, post it again this year. Or change the format—turn it into a screenshot of a text with your opinion. Or take the same video and add a new caption or different audio. If it worked once, it will most likely work again.

2. Let Your Audience Tell You What to Post

Go through your comments and see what people are asking. Is there a question that keeps popping up? That’s a perfect hook for a video.

I farm content from my followers all the time—they drive the narrative of what they want to see. That’s why you should regularly poll your audience. Use your captions to ask questions, post polls in your Stories, and see what your followers actually want:

  • Home tours?
  • Hyper-local content?
  • Personal vlog?
  • Behind-the-scenes?
  • Housing market updates?

Let them decide, then create accordingly.

3. Set Up Google Alerts

Don’t just take my word for it—take it from content GOAT Krys Benyamein. He broke down the strategy in a BAM article and on our Walk Thru podcast.

Stay ahead by setting up Google Alerts for news and events happening in your area. This keeps you informed and gives you a constant stream of fresh content ideas for blogs, green screens, and timely, hyper-local content.

4. Trendjack

I know I talk about this all the time. But trendjacking is instant rocket fuel for your content.

Every month, look at the calendar:

  • What holidays are coming up?
  • What pop-culture events are happening?
  • What’s going on in your local community (farmers markets, festivals, sports events)?
  • What’s the weather like?

People love consuming and sharing content when they feel like they are in the moment, experiencing the same thing as the poster.

For example, it’s Valentine’s Day today. Did you post about it? I’m not talking about some generic, useless “Will You Be My Clientine?” graphic. I’m talking about something useful, fun, and sharable, like the most romantic restaurants or the worst date spots in your market.  If you haven’t posted yet, here are some last-second ideas and a post to draw inspiration from:

 5. Scroll for Inspiration

If you’re not consuming content, it’s hard to create content. Too many agents see social media as a burden or are afraid of “copying” others. You don’t have to copy, but you should spend time scrolling through Reels, TikToks, and other industries outside of real estate. Some of the best content ideas come from completely unrelated niches and from videos that just happen to pop up in your feed.

Just ask Shane Burgman. He explains this perfectly in his latest video about where he gets content ideas from.

6. Join Our Community

The easiest way to get consistent content ideas? Join our BAMx Community on Skool. I’m not kidding.

Every. Single. Week. We give our members:

3 content ideas
2 video scripts
1 email
1 blog post

All ready to customize, post, and send to your database. Plus, during our members-only office hours, we’re constantly brainstorming and sharing what’s working.

There is no real estate community delivering more value than what we’re building. Highly recommend giving it a try. See why here.
