At this year’s Further Together x BAM virtual event, speaker Lauren Lucas broke down five powerful AI tools that can help automate your business without breaking the bank.

Each one costs $20 or less per month, with a grand total of $35 (sans upgrades), and several are free. The goal, she explained, is to stop grinding through cold calls and door knocking and start attracting clients through inbound systems that run while you sleep.

As Lucas put it,

“AI isn’t taking your job. It’s taking market share, and giving it to the people who use it.”

These are the tools she says will help you reclaim your time and take that market share for yourself.

1. ChatGPT ($20/month)

Most people use ChatGPT to write better emails or listing descriptions, but Lucas showed how much more it can do once you train it on your business.

She recommends uploading your own materials—emails, blogs, newsletters—so the AI can learn your tone and vocabulary. Then, use detailed prompts to tell it exactly what role to play and what kind of output you want.

That might mean writing a caption for Facebook, a client email, or a property ad written for first-time buyers.

Lucas also shared how you can build custom GPTs for specific audiences. One example she gave was a first-time buyer GPT trained to answer questions about credit, down payments, and inspection reports while referring users back to her as the expert.

“You’re not too late,” Lucas said. “We’re still in the infancy of this. It doesn’t take coding. It takes curiosity.”

2. Manychat ($15/month)

This social automation tool lets you engage followers automatically through DMs, story replies, and post comments.

Lucas uses Manychat to thank followers who tag her, send invites to webinars, and open real conversations that turn into leads.

Case in point: the results of one campaign, built with AI-generated hooks:

  • 97 comment threads
  • 45 qualified leads
  • an 82.2% click-through rate

She said another post generated 170 comments (about 80 leads) and another 186 comments, all through automation that felt personal.

“We’ve got to shift that grind,” Lucas said. “No more endless open houses and cold calls. It’s time to attract, not chase.”

3. Google NotebookLM (Free)

If you’ve ever wished your buyer presentation could double as an on-demand training tool, this one is worth trying.

NotebookLM turns your existing content into an AI-powered chatbot.

Upload your buyer or seller presentations, YouTube videos, or Google Drive folders, and it creates an interactive knowledge base that clients can learn from.

You can also generate study guides, flashcards, or even podcasts from the material you upload.

Lucas explained that she uses it to help clients understand vocabulary, timelines, and inspection reports, all without adding more hours to her schedule.

4. Google AI Studio (Free, with paid upgrade)

Google AI Studio gives you an AI assistant that can literally watch your screen and coach you through any task.

Lucas described how one Keller Williams team leader used it to build a custom app that matched open houses with hosting agents, automating email delivery, disclosures, and scheduling for 80 users.

AI Studio can also guide you step-by-step through setting up tools like Manychat or creating automations, making it ideal for anyone who doesn’t consider themselves “tech-savvy.”

“If you can use Google, you can use these tools.”

5. OpusClip (Free, with paid upgrade)

If you record long-form video content, OpusClip can turn a single video into 30 short-form clips ready to post.

Lucas uses it to turn her longer content into bite-sized, high-performing posts with captions, B-roll, and filler word removal. Each clip comes with a virality score so you can see which ones are most likely to perform.

The best part is that OpusClip connects directly to Manychat, so those new clips can automatically trigger DMs and engagement sequences that convert viewers into leads.

In her words,

“You’re sitting on a goldmine. Take that video, drop it into OpusClip, and schedule out your next 30 days of content.”

You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars or hire a developer to bring AI into your business. These tools are affordable, accessible, and designed to help you attract clients without burning out.

Start by training ChatGPT on your voice, connect it with Manychat to automate conversations, and use OpusClip to turn your videos into consistent content.

Add NotebookLM to educate clients and AI Studio to simplify your workflows.

In just a couple of hours a month, you can have a system that runs while you focus on the parts of the business that actually need you.
