This is the perfect proof of success reel that every listing agent needs to rip off and duplicate.

Listing agents understand the power of leveraging listings. When it comes to articulating our unique value proposition to sellers, the best of us back up our promises with proven processes and numbers from closed sales. This reel does just that.

Proof of Success Reel for Listing Agents

Vanessa Riley at Domo Realty is one of my favorite marketers to watch and she created the best proof of success reel I have ever seen. In the video, she illustrates the complexity of her listing launch and marketing efforts by highlighting key metrics. She “shows the sweat” and we should all take notes.

Let’s break it down.

Breaking Down the Reel

Vanessa’s reel is a text-overlay video that combines clips of her listing with strategically planned screenshots, offering a clear and compelling narrative of her success. Here’s how she did it:

1. Premarket Zillow Estimate vs. List Price

Vanessa begins by showcasing the premarket Zillow estimate of $749,600 alongside her actual list price of $850,000. This sets the stage for the value she brings as an agent. Remember, you’ll need to capture a screenshot of the premarket estimate before listing as Zillow will change the Zestimate to reflect your list price.

2. Online Exposure Metrics

Next, Vanessa shared the exposure she received online, including:

  • 53,000 impressions from her social campaign.
  • 14,800 views on a YouTube video.
  • 4,900 views and 501 saves on Zillow, with corresponding screenshots to validate these claims.

3. Open House Success

She also shares that her “blockbuster” open house strategy attracted 116 visitors, a significant figure that underscores the effectiveness of her marketing efforts.

4. Multiple Offers Over List Price

Then, she shares that her marketing efforts resulted in four offers over list price. This is literally what every seller wants to hear.

5. Storytelling Element

To add a personal touch, Vanessa included the detail that her efforts resulted in “one happy family excited about their new home.” This storytelling element helps humanize the data-driven reel, making it more relatable and memorable.

6. A Record-Breaking Sale

This one was a record-breaking sale, so you better believe any good marketer is going to share that information, of course, Vanessa did. She then shared that the home sold for $892,000 and emphasized that is $132,400 over the original premarket Zillow estimate.

She continues by explaining this is a whopping $442,000 over the neighborhood median sales price. I love that she included the hyper-local data here. If I were a neighbor, this would certainly get my attention.

7. Call to Action

Vanessa ends with a call to action, attracting future sellers in need of a winning strategy.

The Real Takeaway: It’s Not About the Views

Here is another, and this one has nearly 14,000 views on Instagram, but even if she only had 14 views and one of them was a potential seller, then my money is on this reel converting.

Here’s my hot take—the view count is irrelevant. The point of this is not to get more followers on Instagram. The point is to ensure you are collecting the right metrics, then showcasing those metrics in an organized way to your sellers and prospects, and finally getting more contracts signed.

That is the purpose of proof of success videos—so add this to your listing playbook and go impress your next seller.
