You might have noticed that I’m almost always dressed in black. People sometimes make fun of me for it, but let me tell you: It’s intentional.

Every time you scroll through your feed and see me in all black, often in the same outfit for my announcement videos when an agent joins me at Real, it’s part of a carefully crafted strategy.

As you see me over and over again, popping out of another luxury car or doing a “hot girl walk” with another female Realtor, you start to make associations. You begin to think, “Oh, there’s Lindsey again. Always looking like a high-end luxury realtor, exuding that boss babe presence.”

This is exactly the reaction I’m aiming for.

It’s the same principle that Alex Hormozi uses with his signature nose strips and flannel shirts. When you see him, you don’t think of a sales pitch; you think of a genuine guy who brings value. Similarly, when you see me in all black, I want you to think of a confident, professional, empowering figure in the real estate industry.

I recently met up with a Realtor, and she said, “Oh, I knew you’d come in all black.”

That’s when I knew my branding was working. There’s a method to this madness, and it’s paying off.

So today, I’m sharing my top branding tips with you.

Tips for Incorporating Tactical Branding Elements

To create a memorable and recognizable brand, consider integrating a few key elements into your Instagram presence:

1. Signature Style

Just like my all-black wardrobe, choose a consistent look or color scheme. Whether it’s a specific color, accessory, or overall style, make it your trademark so that when people see it, they instantly think of you. Take inspo from Chelsea Peitz who is known for her neon blazers.

2. Catchphrases or Taglines

Develop a catchphrase or tagline that you use in your posts and videos. This becomes part of your brand’s voice and something people will start to associate with you. Just like how I constantly say, “It’s a hot girl walk,” find a phrase that reflects your brand’s personality. Take inspo from Ricky Carruth who starts his green screens with his signature “intro sound.”

3. Repetitive Elements in Content

Include certain elements in your content consistently. This could be specific backdrops, props, or themes. For instance, always featuring luxury cars, high-end homes, or a particular activity in your videos can create strong associations with your brand. Take inspo from Kyle Toomey who does a great job of incorporating running into his branding.

4. Consistent Post Structure

Maintain a consistent structure in your posts and videos. Whether it’s how you start your videos, the music you use, or the way you sign off, consistency helps build a strong brand identity. Your audience will come to expect and recognize your unique format. Take inspo from Paige Steckling, who consistently dresses in neutrals or all black for an elevated online presence.

The goal is to make your brand memorable and recognizable. Think about what makes you unique and how you can consistently showcase that in your content. Consistency in your style, voice, and interactions will help solidify your brand identity. If you need more ideas or tips, feel free to DM me!
