Looking to reintroduce yourself to your social media audience? Today, I’m showing you the perfect way to do it—and it’s easier than you think!
Reintroducing yourself every few months can be incredibly effective, especially with the steady influx of new followers who may not know much about you yet. It’s a great opportunity to reconnect, build rapport, and keep your brand fresh in their minds.
I recently came across a viral video that inspired me. In it, the creator is bumped into and is, at first, disinclined to share anything personal. But he then pivots with a friendly and authentic introduction of himself.
The playful approach resonated with me, and I realized it could work perfectly for real estate content too.
Take a look:
This type of intro video allows you to highlight more than just your professional side. It’s your chance to share interesting facts about yourself, showcase the market you serve, or even make a lighthearted joke.
Most importantly, it gives you the space to present yourself in a more authentic way—something more dynamic than the typical headshot with a long, formal caption. I’m not hating on those. There’s a place for them. But I’ve found that a simple, candid video can be far more impactful.
In fact, when I created my latest introduction video (which turned out to be one of the easiest videos I’ve made in 2024), it went viral, racking up nearly half a million views.
This success taught me that the algorithm really favors this “pattern interruption” POV style—breaking the monotony of typical content with a fresh point of view.
Ultimately, it’s a great opportunity to show your audience another dimension of who you are.
So, I’m curious what you are going to do to reintroduce yourself?
If you decide to recreate this video, I’d love for you to tag me in it so I can see it. And make sure to share this with someone you know if you found it helpful.
