There are more AI tools on the market than any one agent could possibly keep up with.
Every day, there’s a new app, extension, or model promising to help you write better copy, generate leads, or run your business faster.
And while some of these tools are legit game-changers, others are just hype wrapped in buzzwords.
So the question isn’t whether you should use AI. It’s which AI tools are actually worth your time, and more importantly, how should you be using them?
As BAM’s Head of Video, I’ve tested just about every AI model you can think of. And in this blog, I’m breaking down the three top players—ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—and showing you exactly when, where, and why to use each one in your real estate business.
Let’s get into it.
1. Ease of Use + Learning Curve
If a tool is confusing or clunky, you’re not going to stick with it. That’s why ease of use and learning curve matter just as much as response quality.
ChatGPT leads the pack here.
Its interface is clean, the mobile app is fantastic, and the search-bar-style layout makes it intuitive. Whether you’re at your desk or in line for coffee, you can get what you need without a second thought.
Claude and Gemini also offer solid user experiences (no major complaints there), but ChatGPT’s onboarding is what sets it apart. It’s beginner-friendly without being limiting. You can use it for something simple like generating a listing description, or go deeper and start building automations, connecting to APIs, and using it as the backbone of entire workflows.
It meets you where you’re at, and then grows with you.
2. Response Quality: What’s Best for Real Estate Tasks?
Now let’s talk quality. Specifically, how these models perform on tasks that actually matter to agents.
ChatGPT is the strongest all-arounder.
It writes in a natural, conversational tone, which makes it perfect for client-facing copy like listing descriptions, ad copy, and follow-up emails. With the right prompt, it gives you copy that’s ready to ship, no polishing needed. (Though you should always fact-check any AI tool for accuracy.)
It even has a projects feature that lets you upload documents so the model can learn your tone and style over time.
Claude, on the other hand, is my go-to for long-form content.
If I’m writing a buyer’s guide, a listing packet, or a detailed blog post, Claude handles nuance and structure beautifully. It feels more like a thoughtful writer than a machine.
Then there’s Gemini, which really shines when it comes to SEO-heavy content.
Since it’s built by Google, it naturally leans into what performs well in search, so if you’re working on your website, writing a Google My Business description, or creating blog content designed to rank, Gemini’s a strong bet.

3. Content Creation Power: Images, Scripts & More
This is where things get fun.
ChatGPT’s newest update unlocked image generation, and it’s shockingly good.
If you need thumbnails, social graphics, or visuals for a listing presentation, it can whip those up in seconds. That, combined with how fast it writes clean ad copy and video scripts, makes it a powerhouse for content creation.
Claude holds its ground in the long-form arena, but it’s not built for social media or visual content. Think whitepapers, not Instagram carousels.
And while Gemini doesn’t offer the same creative capabilities as ChatGPT, it still has a spot in your toolkit for fact-driven, keyword-optimized writing. Especially if you’re thinking about Google visibility long-term.
4. What About Local Market Data?
Real estate is hyperlocal. So if you’re using AI to talk about pricing trends, school districts, or neighborhood stats, it better be able to pull live data.
ChatGPT, with its browsing tools turned on, can access sites like Zillow and pull current stats in seconds. The Deep Research feature is a major plus for agents looking to deliver hyperlocal insights quickly.
Claude can also browse the web, but it’s noticeably slower. And while Gemini leverages Google’s massive search capabilities, it doesn’t feel as nimble when it comes to real estate-specific queries.
If you need fast, accurate local data, ChatGPT is still your best bet.
5. The Elevator Pitch for Each Tool
If you’re wondering, “Okay, Bobby, but which one should I actually use?”—here’s the TL;DR version:
Use ChatGPT if you want fast, polished copy with minimal effort. It’s the most versatile, the best for client-facing content, and the only one of the three that can generate visuals on top of everything else.
Use Claude when you need something more in-depth. It’s great for building out detailed guides or long-form blogs, and it writes with a professional, almost human tone that works well for high-trust content.
Use Gemini if SEO is your top priority. It’s wired to perform in Google’s ecosystem, which makes it ideal for blog content, meta descriptions, and anything you’re trying to rank.
6. Let’s Talk Price
All three of these tools offer free versions or basic tiers, but let’s be honest—you’re going to want the good stuff.
ChatGPT’s $20/month plan is, hands down, the best value. You get access to GPT-4, image generation, the projects feature, and deep research tools. It’s honestly the easiest $20 investment you’ll make in your business. There is a $200/month tier, but unless you’re building software or managing massive data sets, you probably won’t need it.
Claude runs between $20 and $50/month depending on the tier, and while it’s strong, I’d still put ChatGPT ahead in terms of what you get for your money.
Gemini has a free tier too, but to get full access to features like document uploads and longer context windows, you’ll need the paid version, priced similarly to ChatGPT. For me, though, ChatGPT still delivers more value, more often.
Final Thoughts
If you’re a real estate agent looking to grow your business with AI, start with ChatGPT. It’s flexible, fast, and feature-rich. And it’s constantly improving.
Add Claude for your long-form needs, and tap into Gemini when SEO matters.
You don’t need all three every day. But knowing which one to use for which task is where the magic happens.
