It is November. Or as the real estate gurus say, it is “SEPARATION SEASON.” I believe this means it is the period where productive agents separate from the unproductive, as most agents coast and use the holidays as an excuse to work less and give in. The good agents double down and set themselves up for 2026.

Same goes for social. You can either “get to it next year” or start crushing it now. Personally, I love the holidays because everyone shares the same collective mood. This sets up perfectly for content and trendjacking.

So, let me help you separate with a full bank of November content ideas.

Warning: I included a lot of fake holidays to spark some hyperlocal content ideas.

November 1: The season begins

Starting now, you are officially allowed to start trendjacking Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever you celebrate.

This means holiday audio on your Reels, holiday home decor tips, gift guides, recipes, hometown traditions, and what listing or buying during the holidays is like. This is also a great time to give back and highlight the charities you work with.

In general, your content over the next couple of months should include themes of thankfulness, giving, family, etc.

November 2: Daylight Savings Time ends

This is the one where clocks go back, giving everyone an extra hour of sleep. If you send an email blast about this, please include something other than “Turn your clocks back, everyone.” It is 2026. The clocks do that themselves, and people do not need to hear that from their agent.

What you can do is a cheeky hyper-local post with a hook like: “What to do in (insert city) with that extra hour.” And one of the things you can add is… GO TO YOUR OPEN HOUSE.

Oh, wait, we have a template for you to do this exact post in our community. Access it below with a free trial.

November 3: National Sandwich Day

Film a Reel about your favorite sandwich in your market. Food content crushes, and you can always relate it back to real estate, whether it is the history of the restaurant or the significance of the neighborhood.

You can also post a static image listing the best sandwiches in your area. Super easy to fill in.

November 11: Veterans Day

Content ideas:

  • VA Loan Awareness Post: Explain how VA loans help veterans buy homes with little or no down payment. Include eligibility details and benefits.
  • Local veteran-friendly resources: Highlight businesses or community resources that offer discounts or support for veterans.
  • Veteran testimonial or client story: Share a story (with permission) of a veteran client you helped.
  • Thank-you message: Simple and heartfelt always works.

November 12: National Happy Hour Day

List your favorite happy hour spots in your market.

November 15: National Philanthropy Day

List your favorite charities and why you support them. This can be a Reel, Green Screen, or Notes style post.

November 16: National Fast Food Day

Talk about your favorite fast food spots as a real estate agent. What do you eat in your car between showings? If your city has a unique fast-food staple, highlight it.

November 17: National Hiking Day

Share your favorite hiking trails in your area.

November 22: National Go For a Ride Day

Film B-roll of your favorite scenic drive in your market. Yes, these fake holidays are silly, but they really do inspire content. You do not have to mention the holiday at all.

November 27: Thanksgiving

First, what not to post: do not post a generic Thanksgiving graphic with a brokerage turkey. You are better off posting nothing. Same goes for a generic “Happy Thanksgiving” email. If you send an email, at least include what you are thankful for.

What to post instead:

  • What are you thankful for? Clients, vendors, team, spouse, etc.
  • What it is like to shop for homes during the holidays and why it can be beneficial.
  • Voice message DMs to clients saying you are thankful for them. More personal and algorithm-friendly than a text.
  • Rank your favorite Thanksgiving foods. Food content always wins.
  • If you have listings with epic dining rooms, highlight them.
  • Or do not post real estate at all. Document your day and show your family life, traditions, and personality. Personal connection wins.

November Social Media Tips

My advice: listen to the head of Instagram talk about how to increase your reach.

He gives tactical advice:

Come up with repeatable concepts.

It is very difficult to come up with new content every day, so if you find a series that works, keep doing it. For example, BAMx member Grigory Pekarsky’s “Lunch Getaways.”

You have to experiment.

What works today might not work tomorrow. Keep switching it up. As Gary Vee says, throw those off-speed pitches. Interests change.

Also, if you’re reading this on Halloween, watch us squash the biggest social media fears agents have!

Hope you have a great November. I am thankful for all of you.
