Ok, you have like two days to post relevant Thanksgiving content. So here are some last-minute ideas that will actually hit instead of disappearing into the holiday noise.
Before we get into the good stuff, let’s make something very clear…again. Do not post a generic Thanksgiving graphic with a brokerage-branded turkey that says “gobble gobble.”
In fact, never use the words “gobble gobble” in person or on social media. Same goes for a generic “Happy Thanksgiving” email. If you’re going to send an email on a day when nobody wants emails, at least include what you’re thankful for.
The key this week is to think about your audience’s mindset. People are traveling, seeing family, catching up with old friends, doing local traditions, eating, drinking, gambling, snorting tryptophan, watching football, and feeling extra thankful for where they live. So the question becomes:
Where can your content meet them?
Here are the best angles.
Community First
Talk about what you’re thankful for in your community.
- The local businesses that keep you alive during transactions.
- The coffee shop that gets you through the day.
- The restaurant you always take clients to.

Quick “Thankful For” List With A Twist
Make a short list of the people in your real estate life who save you.
- Your spouse who puts up with weekend showings.
- Your handyman who always squeezes you in.
- Your inspector who takes the last-minute appointments.
The clients who write you reviews. It can be slightly funny.

Or Skip Real Estate Entirely
Tell people what you love about living in your city. The weather. The fall vibes. The food. The scenic spots. This can be a simple B-Roll post that just says “Thankful for (insert city),” and you can show an iconic spot or what your town looks like in the fall.
If you have a team that’s playing this week and you’re a huge fan, talk about it in your stories so you can connect on a more personal level with some of your followers.
Thanksgiving Tradition Content
If you grew up going out on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, share a story about where you used to go.
If your town has a classic bar everyone goes to, highlight it.
Do you do a turkey trot? A walk? A football game? Let people in on your life, and they will connect with you.
Helpful Hyperlocal Value
If you want to be genuinely helpful, go hyperlocal.
Local Thanksgiving Week Events
Post a quick roundup of what’s happening in your area. Turkey trots, fall festivals, events, whatever is going on. People are lounging around and scrolling. Give them useful info. Preferably something everyone doesn’t already know about.
Black Friday For Local Businesses
Highlight Black Friday deals that you’re going to take advantage of and why you like the business that you’re purchasing from.

Black Friday Price Reduction Post
If you have a seller who is cool with it, highlight a price reduction in a Black Friday style post.
If you want to keep it more real estate-focused, here are some options.
“Perfect For Thanksgiving” Listing Highlight
Show off listings with great dining rooms, kitchens, football-watching setups, or places to escape the in-laws.

Market Snapshot
Do a quick comparison post showing what the market looked like last Thanksgiving vs this year Days on market, price action, inventory, interest rates, anything worth comparing. Text only. No filming needed. Something like this, but local.
Holiday Homeshopping
Answer the questions everyone has about real estate this time of year:
- Should I list during the holidays?
- Are buyers actually out?
- What are the pros and cons?
Rank Your Thanksgiving Foods
It sounds dumb, but food content always wins. Create your top five. Let people fight in the comments.
Show Your Traditions
Post your family moments, your traditions, what you’re doing that day. Give a peek behind the scenes. You don’t need to overproduce anything.
Thankful Voice Notes
Send voice messages in Instagram DMs to clients saying you appreciate them. More personal than a text and better for the algorithm. Just don’t be creepy
