Tyler Cameron may be best known for his stint on The Bachelorette, but the Florida native is making headlines for a very different reason: he just signed on as a licensed agent at Ryan Serhant’s real estate brokerage, SERHANT.

The People exclusive confirmed what Realtor.com also covered in depth: Cameron is going all-in on real estate. He’s now working out of SERHANT.’s Jupiter, Florida office, which opened in 2024, and he’s bringing years of hands-on experience in construction and property investment to the role.

For Cameron, this isn’t just a side hustle. It’s personal. As he told Realtor.com,

“I always knew I’d be in real estate one way or the other. This field feels the most natural to me. It’s about relationships, connections, and people—all things that I truly enjoy the most.”

He’s not the only one finding success in real estate after a reality TV run. From flipping houses in Texas to luxury listings in Arizona, other reality stars are proving this isn’t just a phase.

Here’s a look at how Cameron and three others are turning recognition into real results, and what real estate pros can learn from their pivot.

Tyler Cameron | The Bachelorette, Season 15

Cameron built a name for himself on reality TV, but his business chops go beyond the screen. He runs a construction company, Image 1 Construction, and previously hosted Going Home with Tyler Cameron, where he renovated homes in his hometown.

He was already working on investment properties when he decided to get licensed and officially enter the sales side of the business. A weeklong real estate course later, plus plenty of late-night studying, Cameron joined SERHANT. with a goal of helping the Jupiter office rise to the top of the local market.

As he told People

“There’s no one making a bigger splash in real estate than Ryan Serhant.”

Serhant returned the sentiment, saying,

“He’s built an incredibly strong business as a real estate investor and a deeply engaged community by being authentically himself.”

Now, Cameron is looking to use that same authenticity to serve clients in the area where he grew up.

JoJo Fletcher | The Bachelorette, Season 12

Long before she handed out roses, JoJo Fletcher was flipping real estate. She built her first house while still in college at Baylor, then took over that project and built a second after graduating.

Post-Bachelorette, she returned to Dallas to grow her house-flipping business alongside fiancé Jordan Rodgers. Together, they’ve renovated multiple properties, some of which were so neglected they required 10 dumpsters just to clear out.

In 2023, she partnered with Sherwin-Williams to develop four original paint color palettes for DIYers and home flippers.

Her focus? Design with personality, and flips that reflect her style, not just trends.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. | The Bachelor, Season 22

Arie Luyendyk, Jr., was already licensed in real estate by 2004, but his career ramped up after retiring from racing and wrapping his time on The Bachelor. He joined eXp Realty in 2021, citing the brokerage’s collaborative culture and revenue-sharing model as game changers.

He now leads a 16-agent team across four states, specializing in luxury listings, relocation, and investment properties. In 2021 alone, Luyendyk closed 13 transactions totaling just over $20.9 million.

The lesson from Arie’s playbook? Real estate isn’t a fallback plan; it’s a platform. And the right brokerage model can fuel rapid growth when paired with a recognizable brand.

Jason Mesnick | The Bachelor, Season 13

Jason Mesnick didn’t just break hearts on national TV. He went on to build a top-producing real estate business in the Seattle area. Now co-leader of MDG Residential, Mesnick and business partner Chris Dalto recently joined The Real Brokerage. Their team has closed more than $100 million in sales since launching in late 2022.

With more than 500 homes sold over the past decade, including the priciest condo in Seattle history, Mesnick brings credibility, scale, and a strong local following. The team’s social media footprint, with over 2 million combined followers, doesn’t hurt either.

As Mesnick puts it,

“We are real people selling real estate. Real offers an opportunity for us to continue to serve our clients while collaborating with and learning from thought leaders throughout North America.”

Big Takeaways for Real Estate Professionals

  • Brand power matters, but it only works when paired with skill and service. Every one of these agents built their careers on more than just visibility. They studied, invested, and showed up for clients.
  • Construction and investment experience translate well to sales. Buyers want expertise, not just charisma. These stars turned their background in renovations and flips into tangible client value.
  • The brokerage you choose should match your business style. Whether it’s SERHANT.’s content-first culture or Real’s collaborative model, each agent aligned with a platform that fit their goals.
  • Social media is a growth tool, not just a vanity metric. These agents didn’t just attract followers. They built audiences they can serve and convert.

While not every agent starts with a camera crew and a million followers, the core strategies still apply. Build something real. Lead with value. And never underestimate the power of combining personality with professionalism.
