Where is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Olympic games, Simone Biles, building her dream home?

A recent TikTok post provides an aerial view of Biles’ childhood home and current home in Spring, Texas. And according to a Realtor.com article, Biles and her husband are “building a lakeside mansion from the ground up.”

From the looks of it, the new place is coming along beautifully!

Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens married in April 2023. And until their mansion is move-in ready, they live in the 4,000 square foot luxury home Biles purchased in 2020, not far from the home she grew up in.

According to the TikTok video, that childhood home is valued at $250,000, though, judging by the aerial view, a price tag closer to $500,000 seems more likely.

Childhood Home vs. Current Home vs. Mansion in Progress

Here’s what we know about the childhood home of Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles (who also has 30 world championship medals to her name):

  • Valued at $250,000 (which, again, seems doubtful in today’s market)
  • Has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms

Here’s what we know about Biles’ current home:

  • Valued at $1.2 million (according to the TikTok post)
  • Spans 4,000 square feet
  • Has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms (according to Realtor.com)
  • Amenities include a three-car garage and a large pool in the backyard
  • Sits on just over one acre
  • Kitchen with black-and-white quartz countertops, custom cabinets, and an oversized island
  • Primary suite with dual closets and a spa bath
  • Mud room with pet washing and feeding area (which may have been the clincher for Biles)
  • Close to downtown Houston, the Woodlands mall, and a golf course
  • Listed as a brand new build in 2020 for $863,500 (the price Biles paid for it is unknown)
  • Situated not far from her childhood home

The kitchen was among the rooms featured in the new Netflix series, Simone Biles Rising.

Finally, here are some details on the lakeside mansion in progress:

  • Upper level with a game room, home theater, and wet bar, as well as a balcony overlooking the lake
  • Stunning black-and-white tile in one of the bathrooms
  • One room with sliding glass doors has a view of the lake

What’s clear at this point is that Biles has chosen to remain in her home state, Texas, where home prices are relatively affordable and inventory has seen massive growth since the onset of the COVID pandemic.

Biles’s current home isn’t the first property she’s purchased, either. Before that, she lived in a traditional brick home listed in 2018 for $375,000.

She sold the 2,737-square-foot home to a family member before moving on to the more contemporary home she currently shares with her husband.
