Today, Real Brokerage announced that Sharran Srivatsaa will be stepping down from his role as President and transitioning to a new role with the company.
In an email to Real agents, Srivatsaa explained his next move:
“As I step back from my day-to-day operating role at Real, I am stepping into a very important role for the future of the company… where I will be a member of Real’s Board of Directors.
“The real estate industry is going through a massive transformation right now, and there is no better time for me to step up and serve as ‘the agent’s voice’ on our Board in advising how we shape our strategy and vision as we build the platform of the future.”
Srivatsaa will officially transition to the Board on June 1, 2025, ensuring that Real’s momentum continues as the company navigates its next phase of growth.
A Season of Exponential Growth
When Srivatsaa joined Real as President in December 2022, he ignited a growth trajectory unlike anything the industry had seen.
It’s why BAM co-founder Byron Lazine has repeatedly said:
“There’s no better executive hire in the past 15 years in this industry than when Tamir signed (Sharran Srivatsaa) on to run Real Brokerage.”
And the numbers back it up.
In his first 13 months at Real, agent count more than doubled, surging from 6,800 to 15,000.
Then, throughout 2024, Real continued to add over 1,000 agents per month. As of March 6, 2025, Real now has over 26,000 agents.
Real’s 2024 growth wasn’t just in agent count—it was across every metric:
- $1.26 billion in revenue (+84% YoY increase)
- $114.7 million in gross profit (+82% YoY increase)
- 24,140 agents at the end of 2024 (+77% YoY increase)
- $40 million Adjusted EBITDA (+188% YoY increase)
- $149 billion in value of closed transitions (+90% YoY increase)
- 120,061 closed transactions (+81% YoY increase)
Regarding the transition, Tamir Poleg, Real Chairman and CEO, said:
“Sharran’s leadership, vision and deep commitment to Real’s mission have been instrumental in shaping the company’s culture and growth trajectory. We are incredibly grateful for his contributions and excited that he will continue to play a critical role in shaping our strategy as a member of the Board of Directors. His insight and advocacy for agents will remain invaluable as we continue to build the real estate platform of the future.”
A Lasting Impact on Real Estate
If there’s one way to describe Srivatsaa’s transition, it’s this: He’s going out on top.
Like Michael Jordan in his prime, he’s stepping away from his president role at a peak moment, having led Real to heights no other brokerage has achieved in such a short time.
But Srivatsaa’s influence on the industry extends far beyond Real. Brad McCallum, owner of the McCallum Group at Real, has seen this firsthand. He told BAM:
“As great as it’s been to have him in this role, he’s never truly been ours. Sharran belongs to the industry. And every agent owes him a debt of gratitude, even if they don’t know it.”
If you look at what he has done over the past year, it’s easy to see what McCallum means.
In Q4 of 2024 alone, he delivered over 60 keynotes, including a standout presentation at BAM Mania.
When the industry underwent rule changes in August, he hosted a free workshop on Real’s Buyer Playbook, giving thousands of real estate professionals, regardless of brokerage affiliation, clarity in a time of uncertainty.
His Future Proof Real Estate community on Skool has nearly 8,000 members and is packed with free trainings, playbooks, and strategic insights. And if you are one of the 364,000+ people who follow him on Instagram or listen to his podcasts, you’ve probably had more than a few “ah-ha” moments from his content.
Along with Real CEO Tamir Poleg, Srivatsaa has been named on just about every real estate industry award list in the past two years.
More than anything, though, Srivatsaa has embodied Real’s values, instilling a culture of collaboration over competition and championing the company’s mantra: Work Hard, Be Kind. As he put it in his email to agents:
“While a big part of me is insanely sad, I made this decision with extreme confidence in you and Real… and in our core value: We > Me.”
The Sharran Factor
Eric Simon, co-founder of BAM and founder of The Broke Agent, summed up his experiences with Srivatsaa:
“Here at BAM, there’s a lot of crossover between our creators, my friends, and the agents within the REAL brokerage ecosystem. In my conversations with agents, whenever someone shared their reason for joining REAL, why they were thinking about it, or why they love it, they would almost always finish with something like, ‘…and of course, Sharran.’
“As someone who has attended and spoken at numerous REAL events, I’ve witnessed firsthand the personal, approachable connection he has with agents. He treats everyone with the same respect and humanity, regardless of the size of their business or team. That is a very rare quality in this industry.
“And, of course, the sheer energy and value he brings is unparalleled. When he takes the stage, hosts a webinar, leads a mastermind, publishes content, or even just chats with someone at an event, it really is like witnessing prime MJ. Everyone can feel the positivity and momentum around him. Just the best representation of a brand you could ever ask for.”
While Srivatsaa’s tenure as President at Real may be coming to a close, the foundation he helped build is stronger than ever. The brokerage continues to expand, innovate, and redefine what it means to be an entrepreneur-centric company.
And if history has proven anything, it’s that wherever Srivatsaa goes, growth follows.
