This week in BAM, the biggest news (if you haven’t guessed) is our Black Friday sale for BAMx

Also, we’ve got three new commission lawsuit updates—two related to Sitzer/Burnett and one with some bad news for HomeServices of America in the Nosalek case.

In agent tactics, Tom Toole reveals the best mindset agents can have for attracting and converting leads, while James Shelby shares how and why he builds strategic partnerships with assisted living communities.

Finally, this week’s agent marketing posts bring Thanksgiving content ideas, a guide to crafting Flodesk forms for successful Instagram giveaways, and why your branding colors matter.

Let’s dive in.

News You May Have Missed

In other news, we have an update on the Sitzer/Burnett trial, with news that post-trial motions will delay the final judgment until spring 2024—at which point, the defendants can appeal. Meanwhile, the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Keller Williams, and HomeServices of America are hiring new lawyers for their appeal.

No news on whether any defense attorneys from the trial will join them. But the plaintiffs’ lead attorney, Michael Ketchmark, seems unbothered by the new appellate lawyers’ impressive credentials.

Byron Lazine and Nicole White discussed Ketchmark’s Inman debut—and the #CancelInman movement—in Tuesday’s episode of The Real Word

Also, settlement agreements for Anywhere and RE/MAX in the Sitzer/Burnett and Moehrl lawsuits have received preliminary approval

But things aren’t looking as rosy for HomeServices of America, as the Nosalek plaintiffs cite the notorious “ambush video” in their opposition to a summary judgment.

Agent Tactics

In agent tactics, Tom Toole describes the two most common mindsets for real estate agents, and the mindset they need to have to build and maintain relationships with their clients—both current and potential.

Then James Shelby explains why he invests time, energy, and resources in building strategic partnerships with assisted living communities

Agent Marketing

The week started off strong with a post from Krys Benymein on why your branding colors matter

Then, from Lindsey Jo, we have a step-by-step guide on how to create Flodesk forms for successful Instagram giveaways

Stay tuned for another value-packed week in BAM!
