With Nicole away for the week, Lisa Chinatti joins Byron Lazine for an episode of The Real Word that begins with a nod to Valentine’s Day, courtesy of Zillow, Realtor.com, and HarrisX.
Byron and Lisa discussed a new BAM article on the “singles tax” paid by solo renters, how money concerns impact move-in behavior, and how younger generations approach living together.
Next up was an Inman article, “I’m an Agent: You Can’t Tell Me What to Wear on the Job.” At a time when many agents are struggling to get clients, this seems like a no-brainer. If you want your clients to see you as a professional, dress like one.
Of course, that means different things to different people, agents included. But, as Byron and Lisa point out, professionalism in attire has no specific dress code—and is ultimately more inclusive than the low-effort aesthetic.
Today’s “Left, Middle, Right” segment focused on a CNBC headline on last month’s 0.5% increase in inflation. Byron and Lisa explained what this means for real estate agents, and why taking advantage of now is critical to keeping your head above water in 2023.
