This is the advice that the world’s biggest real estate coach, Tom Ferry, gave me.

And it applies to you, too.

Two weeks ago, I had the great privilege of speaking at the Tom Ferry Roadmap Tour. And while I was in the audience, watching Tom do his thing, he called me out in front of everyone.

He does this friendly, “You all know who this is….”

And of course, I was flattered. But in front of 700 people or so, Tom dropped his advice:

“Krys, we need more educational content out of you. We need you to inform the people more.”

Two thoughts ran through my head:

  1. Tom Ferry is watching my content!
  2. He thinks I’m blowing it.

The Big Takeaway

In reality, Tom was trying to help me—and his advice is true for every agent out there.

In a time when people don’t know who to listen to, or who to trust, they need to look at us as a reliable source of real estate information.

Don’t get me wrong—I’ll still be making funny videos, and I want you to keep making whatever type of videos you want.

But we have to remember that the consumer doesn’t know what to listen to. Our job as a trusted advisor is to educate and inform people.

So, if you’re having trouble figuring out what kind of content to make, try some educational content.

It’s what the people are really looking for today.
