Key Details:

  • As part of its ongoing digital transformation and cost-cutting measures, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) is ending the print edition of REALTOR® Magazine, with the final issue set for Winter 2025.
  • NAR President Kevin Sears says the move will enhance member value, delivering more research, policy updates, and multimedia content online.

For over two decades, REALTOR® Magazine has landed in mailboxes across the country, covering everything from housing market trends to major policy shifts. But that era is coming to an end.

This week, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced it will cease printing REALTOR® Magazine after its Winter 2025 edition, moving all content to its digital hub, REALTOR® Magazine Media

While NAR says the shift is about enhancing member value, it also comes as the association slashes costs to pay for its $418 million antitrust settlement—with half due this month.

The Move to Digital-Only

NAR President Kevin Sears positioned the transition as an evolution, saying:

“It’s just one of the ways we’re rethinking our value proposition.”

The new REALTOR® Magazine Media will deliver:

  • Housing statistics & market research
  • Policy updates & business strategies
  • More frequent digital content via newsletters, podcasts, and video

Sears emphasized that the new platform will tailor content to agents’ needs, stating:

“Going forward, we’ll bring you more frequent business-focused content, delivered through the website, the ‘Drive With NAR’ podcast series, and enhanced video and email breaking news products, tailored to your needs and interests.”

Since its 1998 debut, REALTOR® Magazine has covered key industry moments, from the 2008 financial crisis to the 2024 NAR settlement changes. While print archives remain available online, the move to digital allows NAR to track engagement with real-time metrics.

With the industry facing unprecedented shifts, this is just one more sign that real estate’s biggest players are adapting to a new era—whether by necessity or by choice.
