“I believe there are plans to tear that building down,” Melissa Furman (Redfin) said as she pointed at the obstructing condominium. “I also think the city is going to demo the apartment complex beyond that. Then you’re just an earthquake away from seeing the ocean.”
Melissa then showed the prospective buyer (on her iPad) that seismic activity was increasing in the area. “The big one is right around the corner.” The buyer did mention that they were still 20 miles from coast. Melissa countered that a high-powered telescope should be able to catch the waves on a clear day. “It’s more of a peak-a-boo view but you can definitely see it,” Melissa said.
