This week on The Real Word, Byron Lazine and Nicole White discuss a report by the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) titled, “A Surfeit of Real Estate Agents,” based on market data from early 2022, at the latest. 

The report argues that “marginal agents,” which they define as agents with five or fewer sides a year, are taking a quarter of commissions in three major markets. 

Next up was a BAM article on “Jealous Home Research,” showing how many consumers research the values of their friends’ homes—and how many of those have a negative emotional reaction to what they find. 

Today’s third topic was Instagram’s newest app, Threads. Byron and Nicole each gave their take on its potential and how it differs from Twitter, and shared some advice for agents using the app.
