If you are making house tour videos, this is the blog for you.

Now, we’ve made a few different types of house tour videos. And based on our experience, the one I’m going to share with you here performs the best. Because it goes right to the heart of your buyers’ biggest question.

Let’s get into it!

One type of house tour video is where you walk around and describe the features of the home:

  • Bedroom and bath count
  • Square footage
  • Location / neighborhood
  • Special features / extras

This is probably the easiest tour to create. The listing description already includes this information, so your script is pretty much done for you. The problem, of course, is that the buyer probably already knows these details.

This is the quintessential “door-opener” approach to home tour videos. You can do better.

Your buyers deserve an approach that respects their time and speaks to their biggest concerns. So, what we do instead is create a house tour video where we share how much it costs to purchase and own it:

Those videos do significantly better.

Based on the glowing feedback we’ve been getting on these payment videos, we’ve added a small modification to tell the consumer how much they need to earn on a monthly or yearly basis to afford the house they’re seeing in the video.

Here’s an example:

It’s an easy script modification that you can run today, using our free monthly income script template for your home tour videos. And I’m curious to see how it helps your content perform.

So, if you’re not already creating videos that help your buyers understand what it will cost to buy and own the homes you tour for them, now you have the cost-related questions to answer for them and an income script template you can use to help buyers determine whether a home fits their budget before they take the next step.

The goal is to make peoples’ lives better than before they met you. And buying a home, like being a great real estate agent, is all about the long game.

As always, reach out with any questions, and don’t forget to share this with someone you know.
