I’ve been sending a ton of direct mail lately, and one thing has become glaringly obvious: it’s expensive. From design to printing, and especially postage, the costs add up quickly.

But just because traditional mailers are pricey doesn’t mean there aren’t more affordable ways to get on people’s doorsteps and grab their attention.

That’s why I decided to start using door hangers. They capture the same essential information as a postcard but are far more cost-effective. Plus, you save a significant amount by cutting out postage altogether.

What to include on your door hanger

When creating door hangers, it’s important to focus on providing valuable information, not just boasting about recent sales. Instead of highlighting how much we sold a property for, I prefer to share the analytics behind our marketing efforts. Here’s what I typically include:

  • Open House Attendance: Show how many people attended the open house.
  • Offers Received: Highlight the number of offers the property received.
  • Listing Video Performance: Mention how many views or shares the listing video got.
  • Additional Metrics: Include anything else that showcases the effectiveness of your marketing strategy.

These details not only demonstrate your success but also build trust with potential clients by showing the work you put in behind the scenes.

Customize Your Door Hanger

You don’t need to start from scratch. My team has created a customizable door hanger template that you can easily tailor to fit your brand and messaging. It’s a straightforward way to streamline your marketing and start seeing results.
