If you’re a real estate agent looking to save time and get more done, the latest ChatGPT updates are worth paying attention to.
These aren’t just minor tweaks. They’re tools that can take on tasks for you, deliver better research, and even create custom images for your marketing.
While some of these features aren’t brand new, the way they work today opens up new possibilities for agents who want to spend less time on admin and more time with clients. Just keep in mind, these updates are currently available only to paid ChatGPT users, and each comes with a limited number of uses.
Let’s break them down.
1. ChatGPT Agent: Your New Digital Assistant
In the past, ChatGPT could research, write captions, and give you ideas. Now, ChatGPT Agent can actually complete tasks for you by connecting to tools like Google Calendar, Gmail, and Canva.
Here’s how an agent could use it:
- Get homeowner data from your title rep for a listing in your target neighborhood.
- Upload the list to ChatGPT Agent and have it search for additional information about each homeowner.
- Ask it to write custom emails for each contact based on what might interest them.
- Let it send the emails for you, fully automated.
Done right, that’s hours of work completed in minutes. But it’s not without its pitfalls. As I’ve tested this, I’ve seen ChatGPT make mistakes. Always review and edit before hitting send.
Pro tip: Add “think fast” to the end of your prompt. In my experience, this speeds up the process.
2. Deep Research: Better Information with Sources
Deep Research might have slipped under your radar, but it’s one of my favorite features.
What sets it apart from the standard ChatGPT function?
- It provides citations. You can see exactly where the information comes from. That’s critical when you’re pulling market data or crafting client-facing materials.
- It’s great for market updates. You can ask it to find articles on your local market and then turn that information into a blog post, carousel script, or talking points for your next client meeting.
- It’s more accurate. While you should still fact-check, I’ve found Deep Research to be more reliable than the general ChatGPT tool.
For agents, this means you can synthesize complex articles, prep content faster, and walk into conversations with confidence.
3. Image Creation: Custom Visuals for Your Marketing
ChatGPT can now create images from either written or spoken prompts. The more specific you are, the better the results.
If you’re creating a reel cover, specify the size (9×16) in your prompt. Need a 4×5 graphic? Tell it exactly that. You can also guide the style by referencing an artist or design style you like.
I use it to create reel cover images, but you could just as easily generate concepts for postcards, listing flyers, or social media graphics. The key is to give clear instructions so you get an image you can actually use in your business.
Use These Wisely
These features are powerful, but with limits on how many times you can use them, you’ll want to be intentional. Save your ChatGPT Agent and Deep Research queries for tasks that will have the biggest impact on your business.
And as always, review everything before sending it out. AI can make your life easier, but your clients still expect the human touch.
