You know what sucks about trying to come up with content on a daily basis? Trying to come up with content on a daily basis. It’s my literal job and I find it nearly impossible. Now, imagine being a full-time real estate agent with a family (if you’re reading this you probably are). You’re probably sick of all these social media gurus (including myself) shouting at you every day to “post more content post more content!”
You’re probably like…
“I CAN’T! I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF 30 ESCROWS, EVERYONE IS MAD AT ME, AND MY KID WON’T STOP THROWING UP!”
To that I would say this: you should still post more content. So, what’s the solution?
WHAT IS BULK SHOOTING?
It’s when you shoot in bulk obviously. No, but seriously it’s when you record a bunch of content in one session that can be posted later. It can save you an enormous amount of time and stress. It’s what I like to call… “The Move.”
How Do You Do It?
Pick a day each month, block out some time, and stick to it. Come prepared with ideas and different outfits so you can change between videos. If you can, hire a videographer who can help you film and edit to take even more work off your plate. A professional will also make sure you have proper lighting and sound so the shoot doesn’t go to waste. The most efficient “Bulk Recorders” can get two-three months of content in just one session.
THE BEST IN THE GAME
Now, you might be thinking, “BA you preach this but you do not practice it.” Correct. I don’t Bulk Shoot because as I’ve said before, I’m a huge hypocrite. Also, you can’t Bulk Shoot dank memes. But seriously, I preach this because I know it works, I’ve witnessed it!
I first learned about Bulk Shooting from real estate legends, Glennda Baker and Taya DiCarlo. We had both on our podcast and they each talked about how much it has helped their business. Once a month, both Glennda and Taya pick a day and film for hours with their respective videographers. They come equipped with stories, ideas, and energy ready to bang out an entire month of content.
Let’s take a look at Glennda’s style:
As you can see she’s an incredible story teller. She basically talks to her videographer like he’s in the audience, looking slightly off camera. The best part is that she can probably get 10+ pieces of content from each story and break them down into 10-15 second Reels and TikToks.
Since Glennda started Bulk Shooting, she has amassed over 640,000 followers on TikTok and over 85,000 on Instagram. It works.
Gold after gold after gold. This was posted a few weeks ago, but it might have been filmed months ago!
Now, let’s check out Taya.
She films a wide variety of content including skits, educational videos, long-form YouTube videos, and her now infamous segment, “Taya’s Two Cents.”
Once she made the move to Bulk Shooting, her following exploded on TikTok as well as Instagram.
Finally, I must mention that my archnemesis and cofounder of BAM, Byron Lazine who also recently started Bulk Shooting. Now this dude is pumping out like three to five videos PER DAY, racking up an enormous amount of views. Every time I go on social media he pops up, which may be infuriating, but it’s working.
Bulk Shooting also applies to podcasts. When Matt and I first started The Over Ask Podcast, we did a really good job at batching our episodes so we weren’t scrambling to find guests every week. This gave us time to focus on editing clips and promotion. When you have content in the bank it makes your life way easier.
