Instagram just launched a new video editing app.
It’s called Edits, and it’s Instagram’s standalone video creation app, designed to make it easier for creators (and agents like you) to shoot, edit, and post content, all from your phone.
And with TikTok’s future in the U.S. still hanging in the balance, Meta’s move here feels… well, timely.
What Is Edits?
Think of Edits as Instagram’s answer to TikTok’s CapCut. It’s built to streamline your video creation process, whether you’re batch-recording listing tours, market updates, or those “Hey, it’s your favorite local agent!” face-to-camera videos.
No need to juggle multiple tools. Edits is a free app that lets you:
- Capture up to 10 minutes of video in high quality
- Manage multiple projects at once
- Use creative tools like green screen, touch-up filters, and AI image animation
- Add automatic captions (in multiple languages)
- Get real-time insights to help you analyze how posts are performing
Oh, and no watermark on video exports. Big win.
