How is it August already?
July 4th was yesterday… not sure how we’re here already, but it’s time for some August content ideas for agents.
In general, here are some themes to think about this month: HEAT. Vacations. End of Summer. Back to school. Rates not budging. Sydney Sweeney. Labor Day. And most importantly, the start of college football.
As for content: Carousel posts are crushing right now. We’ve completely changed our clip strategy at BAM to put a headline in front of the video because Reels have been consistently underperforming lately. Obviously, this can change on a dime, but it might be worth testing out in your own strategy.
Here’s an example from BAM:

Now, let’s break down some August dates and content ideas.
August 1: National Beer Day
Wait, I thought this was every day? Either way, this could be a fun excuse to post about your favorite breweries or spots in your market to grab a cold one.
End of Summer
Post a last-minute summer bucket list with things to do in your hometown before fall hits.
Back-to-School Content
Ideas:
- Hyper-local: Where to get school supplies
- What this time of year means for the housing market
- How the school season affects buyers and sellers
- A quick carousel or Reel using one of our BAMx templates for a Back-to-School Guide

Mid-Year Goal Check-In
We’re more than halfway through the year. Do a post updating your audience on your 2025 goals. What have you achieved? What have you completely missed? This can be a more vulnerable, non-real estate-related post that helps people connect with you and get invested in what you’re working toward.

August 5th: This should be a national holiday for real estate agents
On Tuesday, Sharran Srivatsaa and Andrew Undem are putting on a free Bulletproof Pricing Strategy Masterclass.

August 23: College Football Starts
If you’re a sports fan like me, this is a huge deal. It’s been hell having only baseball, and I’m a huge baseball fan. The real matchups kick off Labor Day weekend, so you could hold off on content until then. But if you live in a college town, now’s the time to go hyper-local: Tailgate spots, best places to watch the game, and behind-the-scenes stuff in your Stories to show your personality and get people to connect with YOU.

Here’s the good news.
The summer slowdown doesn’t just hit the real estate market; it also hits content. People are paying less attention, and engagement sometimes takes a hit because of it. But as we enter August and the school year, people get back to their normal routines and start engaging again.
Have a great month!
