Yesterday, I had an incredible offsite business planning day with two rockstar agents, and I walked away inspired. If you’re gearing up for your own planning day, here are three essential tips to maximize its impact.

#1—Know Your Vision (And Dream Big!)

Before diving into any kind of planning, get clear on your vision. Where is it you truly want to go?

Whether you’re a newer agent or already scaling your business, this exercise helps get intentional about your path. Ask yourself the following (and take the time to write out your answers):

  • Where do you see your business in five years?
  • What could you accomplish in three years to get closer to that?
  • What can you start doing right now to make those dreams happen?

Clarity is power, and the more vivid your vision, the more focused your plan will be.

#2—Find Your Tribe (Choose Wisely)

Who you plan with matters. Surround yourself with agents who challenge and inspire you, ideally, those who are at your level or a step ahead. When you’re in sync with your group, you avoid distractions and stay laser-focused on meaningful growth.

The goal is to collaborate with agents who share your mindset on operational standards, revenue goals, and business systems. This way, you’re not spending the day teaching but instead strategizing with people who can push you toward even greater success.

#3—Track Your Numbers (Numbers Never Lie)

If you’re not tracking your metrics, you’re missing a huge opportunity to elevate your business. Numbers tell the story of your success and point to areas where you can grow. Make sure you’re tracking essential metrics, like the number of listing appointments and buyer consultations, along with your conversion rates. These figures will reveal patterns and show you exactly what needs to change to hit your 2025 production goals.

Dive deep into your lead sources too—figure out which ones are delivering the best results, and which might need a pause. Focus on the higher returns and methods that you feel confident and happy executing.

Set the Tone for Success

Planning becomes a whole lot easier when you’ve got the data in front of you. Your business planning day is your chance to set the tone for your year ahead, so make it count. With a clear vision, the right people by your side, and a solid handle on your numbers, you are setting yourself up for a win.

So, don’t overthink it. Lean into the process, trust yourself, and know that every step you take brings you closer to that dream business you’ve been working so hard for.
