This week’s video starts with a short sound clip called a “riser.” And it’s one of the best ways to hook your audience’s attention.

But, it’s something you need to hear to fully understand:

The riser effect

The riser effect kicks in one to two seconds after the video starts. And it subconsciously tells the audience to watch until the sound effect is done.

This is one little trick we’ve been testing in our content that’s totally killer.

Risers come in a variety of sounds, depending on the instruments used. But all of them start more subdued and rise in volume and intensity before they abruptly stop.

Let us know if you’re going to use a riser effect in your content. And share this post with someone you know.
