Today, Real Brokerage reported the completion of its acquisition of REMAX Holdings, closing out an $880 million deal first announced in April.

Shareholders from both companies approved the merger on August 14, and the Supreme Court of British Columbia granted final approval seven days later. Those approvals cleared the path to today’s close.

As of today, the combined companies are now operating under the name of Real REMAX Group Inc., and will begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “REAX” starting August 25, 2026. In the announcement, Tamir Poleg, Chairman and CEO of Real REMAX Group, stated:

“This acquisition marks a significant milestone on our journey to build a technology platform that empowers real estate professionals and improves the consumer experience. Bringing together Real’s technology and operating model with REMAX’s global reach and franchise model is a transformational moment for the industry. Together, we are creating a more innovative, more productive and more connected real estate ecosystem that we believe will generate substantial long-term value for agents, franchisees, consumers and shareholders.”

In a separate letter to agents, brokers, franchisees, and employees, Poleg framed what each company offers:

“REMAX is an iconic global brand with a presence in more than 120 countries and territories, decades of consumer trust, and thousands of broker/owners who are the backbone of their local markets.”

“Real brings a technology platform we built ourselves, AI that is already operating at scale, an economic model designed for the way agents actually run their businesses, a collaborative community of passionate agents, and strong momentum.”

Here’s the breakdown on who holds the top jobs, who’s confirmed an exit, and what agents can expect as the acquisition trend continues.

Leadership Changes

Here’s who holds the top jobs at Real REMAX Group, and who has confirmed an exit from REMAX.

New C-Suite

Tamir Poleg keeps his title as CEO. He’s led Real as chairman and CEO, and when the deal was announced in April, he confirmed he would run the combined company as well.

Jenna Rozenblat moves into the role of president. She served as Real’s chief operating officer, and last week’s 2026 REMAX Broker Owner Conference brought the announcement naming her the first president of Real REMAX Group. She’s also serving as chief integration officer for the transaction itself.

Amy Somerville returns to REMAX as chief operating officer. Attendees at the Broker Owner Conference posted about the news on social media before any official confirmation. Somerville spent 16 years at REMAX before leaving in 2018, and Poleg referenced her return during the event, according to a recording obtained by Real Estate News.

Five more executives were named in Real’s August 6 filing with the SEC:

  • Ravi Jani, CFO, who’s held the role at Real since mid-2025.
  • Pritesh Damani, CTO who’s served as Real’s chief technology officer since late 2021.
  • Abigail Lee, CMO, named as chief marketing officer for REMAX earlier this year.
  • Alexandra Lumpkin, chief legal officer, who joined Real as vice president, chief legal officer, and secretary in early 2023.
  • Leah Jenkins, chief accounting officer, who has held that title at REMAX since mid-2023.

One more name to watch: Don Kottick, president of REMAX Canada, is expected to keep a leadership role at the combined company. That comes from an internal email obtained by Real Estate Magazine.

Two departures were confirmed by REMAX itself: president Chris Lim and EVP of strategy Travis Saxton both said they won’t stay on with the combined company. Both joined REMAX in early 2025. Lim started as chief growth officer before adding the president title in February.

The New Board

A separate SEC filing from August 6 named 10 people expected to sit on Real REMAX Group’s board:

  • Tamir Poleg
  • Erik Carlson, REMAX’s current CEO, expected to step down from that role once the deal closes
  • Vikki Bartholomae
  • Guy Gamzu
  • Norman Jenkins
  • Larry Klane
  • Ken Pozek
  • Cathleen Raffaeli
  • Laurence Rose
  • Susanne Greenfield Sandler

Sharran Srivatsaa, Real’s former president, gets a different title: director emeritus. The filing describes it as a title with no board seat attached, and confirms Srivatsaa will not serve as an official Real REMAX Group director.

The merger agreement, signed April 26 and amended June 12, needed a few more steps before closing. Shareholders and stockholders from both companies approved the deal, including Real’s 10-for-1 share consolidation, at special meetings on August 14. The Supreme Court of British Columbia granted final approval on August 21. The deal closed August 24.

What This Means for You

The immediate message from leadership is continuity, not a forced combination of the two brokerage models.

In his letter, Poleg said:

“REMAX stays REMAX. The brand, the balloon, and the independent broker/owner model are not going away.”

“Real stays Real. The Real brand, model, platform, commission structure, revenue share, and equity programs remain in place.”

He also confirmed that the REMAX franchise model will continue. In other words, agents should not expect either company’s identity or compensation model to disappear because the transaction has closed.

For agents outside of Real REMAX Group, the acquisition fits into a broader pattern of consolidation happening across real estate.

Each of these deals suggests bigger platforms are betting that scale gives them an edge a smaller, standalone company cannot match.

As a real estate agent, awareness of this trend enables you to position yourself for growth in the months and years ahead, which could depend on:

  • Which parent company sits behind your brand
  • What tools and support come with that ownership
  • How leadership changes at the top affect resources at your local office.

As Real REMAX Group finalizes its executive team, expect updates on branding and technology support in the months ahead.
