It’s already May. The doom-and-gloom headlines are predicting another housing crash, trade wars are fueling uncertainty, and AI seems to be advancing on us by the second.

I feel like I only have a few of these left before ChatGPT starts predicting exactly what I’m going to write. But for now, it’s still me.

Here are your content ideas for May 2025. I included a lot of hyper-local ones since those tend to get the most engagement.

May 4: Star Wars Day

It’s a big day in meme culture (especially if you’re a huge nerd like me).

  • Easy mode: Throw a real Yoda quote on your IG Story or relate to housing:

“Buy or rent, decide you must.”

“The offer… strong it is.”

“Move-in ready, this home is.”

  • Use trending Star Wars audio on your Reels for subtle trendjacking. My personal favorite is the Imperial March.
  • Upload a photo of yourself to ChaGPT, and use this prompt to create a Star Wars action-figure version of yourself: Turn this person into a Star Wars-style real estate action figure, wearing a futuristic agent uniform with subtle armor plating, a lightsaber-inspired clipboard, and a glowing holopad displaying property listings. Include accessories like a floating “SOLD” sign, a drone lockbox, and a droid assistant holding house keys. Package the figure in a collectible-style box labeled “The Deal Guardian” with a galactic luxury housing backdrop. Use dramatic lighting and a cinematic toy photo aesthetic.

Just an FYI here, ChatGPT won’t use the words “Jedi,” “Skywalker,” etc. on any image it creates because those terms are part of Star Wars intellectual property. So, get creative with something like “The Force Closer,” “Master of the Market,” or “The Deal Guardian.”

  • If there are any hyper-local Star Wars “things” going on in your market, now is probably the only good time to mention it.
  • Of course, share some Star Wars memes (from me).

May 5: Cinco De Mayo

This lands on a Monday this year, so most celebrations will happen the weekend before (May 3–4). Time your content accordingly.

Ideas:

  • Top 5 Spots to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo in [Your City]
  • Favorite Mexican restaurants in [Your City]
  •  Favorite place to grab a taco in [Your City]
  • Green screen yourself reviewing a local restaurant’s menu or margarita flight
  • Make a margarita while talking about something real estate-related
  • Talk about any local Cinco De Mayo festivals or celebrations

We’ll have these templates dropping tomorrow (Friday) for you in our BAMx Community. Join here.

May 11: Mother’s Day

Ideas:

  • Mother’s Day Brunch Spots in [Your City]
  • Last-minute gift ideas reel: “4 Things You Can Do With Mom This Weekend in [City]
  • “Things Moms Actually Want in a Home” carousel (big pantry, yard, laundry room next to bedrooms, etc.)
  • Share a photo or story about your mom: doesn’t have to be real estate related at all. Just a great day to honor your mom!
  • Talk about something you learned from your mom (a lesson) that you work into your business.

May 23rd: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Gets Released

This will be everywhere, so you may as well make some content around it.

Ideas:

  • Use the Mission: Impossible audio on your content if it applies.
  • Run a giveaway for tickets to the movie. This can work as an email grab.
  • Tell a story about how you had to go above and beyond to get into a property or go Mission Impossible mode.
  • Do the Tom Cruise run as a hook to a listing video.
  • Completely ignore that this movie is being released like a normal person and don’t create content around it at all.

May 26: Memorial Day

Some people get confused about what this day means, so I wanted to make sure you knew: Memorial Day is a U.S. federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May to honor and remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Yes, it’s also regarded as the unofficial start to Summer and is a “long weekend” for non-Realtors, but don’t forget to create content that is also respectful!

Ideas

  • Promote/create content around a local parade or remembrance event.
  • A reminder post: “Yes, it’s a long weekend, but let’s remember what it’s really for…”
  • What people do for Memorial Day in your local market

All Month: School’s Out / Summer Planning

Hook: “Now that school’s out in [City]…”

Ideas:

  • Summer camp guides, kid-friendly activities
  • How the housing market changes in Summer. Why is it a good time to buy/sell?
  • How to Buy or Sell With Kids Out of School” (great hook for parents making moves)
  • Hook: “If you’re a parent, listen to this: these are my three favorite places to take my kids over Summer in (Insert market).”
