Have you ever accidentally sent a text about a person…to that person? Have you ever sent a screenshot of what your client said…to your client? Have you ever texted the other agent that their offer was accepted, but then had to rescind five minutes later because “a last minute one” just came in? Have you ever had alcohol before?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions you should be ecstatic about the new iOS 16 update that will allow users to unsend or edit texts within the first 15 minutes.
The new unsend and edit feature for the iPhone is the best thing to happen to real estate since electronic signatures.— The Broke Agent (@TheBrokeAgent) June 7, 2022
That’s right, Apple just announced at the WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) that in the Fall of 2022 iPhone users will have the ability to “long hold” texts, to unsend it or edit it. WARNING: This does not protect you from screenshots. Nothing ever does.
Personally, I welcome this iOS 16 update. I’ve had my real estate license for eight years and there’s already been a billion times I wish I could unsend a text message. If this doesn’t convince agents to get an iPhone, nothing will. I HATE communicating with someone in green.
