For nearly ten years now, real estate pros across the U.S. have been packing their bags and flying to Nicaragua and El Salvador to build homes. A Giveback Homes Build Trip is a weekend-long experience that results in a life-changing home for a family in need.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

The trips go something like this: Volunteers fly in from around the world and make their way to the community, meet the families and then get work. With the volunteers, we dig trenches, set the foundation, the flooring, put the walls up, secure the roof, and then paint it in the color preference of each family. Along the way, volunteers make a lasting connection with the families and children, and we always make sure there’s time to celebrate at the end. Most volunteers return from a Build Trip feeling humbled, grateful, fulfilled and inspired to do more, be better. It feels good.

Giveback Homes partners with real estate agents, brokerages, and real estate companies who are committed to donating and volunteering towards providing safe homes. We deliver innovation and impact to our community of social good leaders, who are the driving force behind the movement. There are countless incredible agents who have joined the real estate movement #forsocialgood and are making an impact through business.

TRENDSETTERs In This SPACE

The Agency RE was the first to champion the social good movement and has since helped build 20 homes across the U.S. Last year. “The Agency Gives,” created with Mauricio Umansky as The Agency’s philanthropic commitment to support affordable housing, celebrated their most charitable year yet.

Concierge Auctions also partnered with Giveback Homes to create Key For Key® , a giving program that has resulted in over 200 homes for families in Central America.

This weekend, our team is headed to El Salvador to build the next ten homes! This will be the 10th Build Trip for Concierge Auctions. It’s going to be super special and super sweaty. Follow our journey @givebackhomes and join the movement at givebackhomes.com

I’ll be sharing more news and updates about Giveback Homes and our real estate partners as soon as I’m back!
