Concierge Auctions is breaking new ground by auctioning ‘La Dune,’ a Hampton masterpiece, live alongside art at Sotheby’s New York.

The iconic estate at 366 &  377 Gin Lane in Southampton entered the market on January 18 with a starting bid of $66 million. Previously listed at a staggering $150 million, this beachfront haven includes two residences, being offered separately or together via Concierge Auctions in partnership with Harald Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty, Tim Davis of The Corcoran Group, and Cody Vichinsky, President and Founding Partner of Bespoke Real Estate.

Inspired by architect Stanford White, ‘La Dune’ stands as a symphony of luxury and artistry. Situated on over four acres with over 400 feet of bulkhead beachfront and two remarkable residences, the estate offers a canvas for both architectural and natural beauty.

The main house, built in the early 1900s, boasts over 11,000 square feet and features classic Southampton style. The second residence, crafted by architect Francois Cartroux in 2001, mirrors the style and proportion of the main house.

The compound features an array of entertainment spaces, including a home theater, billiards room, fitness space, and staff quarters. Elegant design elements, custom woodwork, and high-end finishes create an atmosphere of timeless luxury. Two gunite pools and an all-weather tennis court complete the outdoor experience, offering a seamless blend of modern comfort and classic design.

Bidding has Begun: Live Auction at Sotheby’s New York

The bidding war for ‘La Dune’ has already begun online, with six participants vying for the chance to own a slice of Hampton paradise. The final live auction is scheduled at 4 pm ET on January 24th at Sotheby’s New York.

This groundbreaking event marks the first time Concierge Auctions real estate will be auctioned alongside fine art at Sotheby’s, adding a touch of cultural significance to this prestigious sale.

“As the world’s leading luxury property auctioneer, we deal in real market value—the definition of what something is worth being what a group of qualified bidders are willing to pay for it—which makes the bidding opening for ‘La Dune’ an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Though an auction alongside art is a first for Concierge Auction, selling extraordinary luxury properties is not. The company holds the world record for the highest-priced residence ever sold at auction and the highest sale for any property listed in 2022 with the sale of ‘The One,’ a California estate sold for $141 million.

In alignment with Concierge Auctions’ Key for Key® giving program in partnership with Giveback Homes, the closing of ‘La Dune’ will contribute towards building a new home for a family in need. This philanthropic initiative adds a meaningful dimension to the auction, emphasizing the community impact of luxury real estate transactions.
