On today’s Hot Sheet, Byron Lazine broke down November home price data from S&P Cotality Case-Shiller and the FHFA, showing modest annual gains of 1.4% and 1.9% (respectively) as inflation continued to outpace price growth. S&P’s index was unchanged from October and less than half the 3.7% gain recorded in November 2024.

He also covered new Redfin data revealing a record-high 16.3% of pending home sales were canceled in December, roughly 40,000 deals falling through.
