On today’s Hot Sheet, Byron Lazine broke down the latest CPI data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, showing inflation rose 0.2% on the month with the 12-month rate easing to 2.4%.

He also covered the NAR Existing-Home Sales Report, which showed February sales increased 1.7% to a 4.09M annual pace despite a 1.4% year-over-year decline.

For today’s third topic, Byron reviewed new MBA data showing mortgage applications rose 3.2% for the week, with the Purchase Index jumping 7.8% as buyer demand picked up ahead of the spring market.
