On today’s Hot Sheet, Byron Lazine broke down the February Employment Situation report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showing payrolls declined by 92,000 while unemployment held at 4.4% and wages rose 3.8% year over year.

He also reviewed new Redfin data showing nearly 45,000 delisted homes returned to the market in January, the highest January relisting total on record.

For today’s third topic, Byron unpacked a ResiClub and BatchData analysis showing roughly 18% of U.S. single-family homes are now used as rentals, with wide variation by state.
