On today’s Hot Sheet, Byron Lazine broke down the NAR report showing pending home sales rose 1.8% in February but remain slightly down year over year. He also covered new timing insights from Realtor.com and Zillow, highlighting mid-April and late May as the best windows to list a home.

Byron also reviewed MBA data showing mortgage applications fell 10.9% as rates climbed to 6.30%, even as purchase demand stayed stronger than last year.  And for the final fourth topic, he added the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data showing PPI jumped 0.7% in February, pushing annual producer inflation to 3.4%, the highest since February 2025.
