We just got back from BAM Camp, the best real estate conference in the world, and my head is still spinning. The amount of tactical advice and inspiration packed into those sessions was unreal.

I took pages of notes, but I boiled them down to six lessons that hit me the hardest. If you put even one of these into action, your business (and mindset) will thank you.

1. Every Day Is an Interview – Tom Toole

Tom Toole, who runs the #1 RE/MAX team in Pennsylvania, dropped a truth bomb: every single day is an interview.

Think about it:

  • Every client you meet
  • Every conversation you have
  • Every appointment you show up to

…they’re all opportunities to prove your value.

It got me thinking, what’s the language I use with clients? How do I show up? How am I dressed? All of it matters, and Tom explained it perfectly.

2. The Silver Tsunami – Amy Stockberger

Amy Stockberger, leader of South Dakota’s top team, talked about something we should all be watching: the silver tsunami

But she was talking about real estate agents, not homeowners.

Here’s the stat that blew my mind: 40% of agents are over 60.

What does that mean for younger, hungrier agents? Massive opportunity. Amy’s advice:

  • Approach older agents about succession or legacy plans.
  • Partner up to help them serve their clients.
  • Be the energy and social media savvy that keeps their business alive.

It’s not just about taking over. It’s about helping their clients avoid falling through the cracks.

3. Rank on ChatGPT – Lisa Chinatti

Lisa Chinatti out of Massachusetts, shared exactly how to generate organic leads with ChatGPT.

Here’s the play:

  • Post on your website at least once a week.
  • Use bullet points, Q&As, and lists (people, and AI, love them).
  • Connect your site to Google My Business.

Do this consistently, and when consumers ask AI to “find me a local real estate agent,” guess who’s showing up? You.

4. Negotiate With, Not Against – Byron Lazine

Byron Lazine broke down agent compensation in a way that clicked.

He gives clients a menu of options and negotiates with them, not against them. That shift changes everything.

Instead of defending your value, you’re giving choices. You’re in the conversation as a partner, not an opponent. Unreal game from Byron.

5. Hyperlocal Wins – Alyssa Curnutt

Alyssa Curnutt, the queen of hyperlocal, showed us how she turned local storytelling into $350,000+ in GCI.

Her point: agents are not specific enough. Talking about your city isn’t enough; you need to zoom in:

  • What’s being built in the shopping center next door?
  • What’s happening at the intersection every other Tuesday?
  • What’s new on Banana Street?

The more specific, the better. Hyperlocal content wins every time.

6. Be a Unicorn, Be a One Trick Pony – Sharran Srivatsaa

Sharran Srivatsaa always leaves me inspired, but this time, he reframed something we all avoid: being a one-trick pony.

He said: Look at Messi, LeBron, Tiger Woods. They’re the best because they went all in on one thing. Same with MrBeast. He crushes YouTube because that’s all he does.

As agents, we spread ourselves thin trying to be good at everything. Instead, lean into your strength. Go all in. Be the unicorn.

Final Thought

These six lessons lit a fire under me. And if you needed a little boost heading into the fourth quarter, I hope they do the same for you.

Got an agent in your life who could use the pick-me-up? Do them a favor and share this with them.
