Maybe you don’t have a steady stream of buyers asking you about tiny homes in the area. But it still pays to know what options are available.

Because no matter who sits in the White House, housing affordability challenges aren’t going away overnight. And plenty of those who put their homeownership aspirations on hold until after the election could show more interest in buying a home.

The problem? Buyers across the U.S. are still having a hard time finding a home they can afford, whether it’s a new build or something that’s been around for a few decades.

Enter the tiny home—specifically Boxabl’s signature contribution: The Casita

There’s a reason multi-billionaire Elon Musk has taken an interest in modular tiny home construction. As he shared in a Tweet, he lived in a $50K tiny home in Texas for two years.

A Tweet from Boxabl shares a short video with Musk saying he uses a Boxabl home as a guest house, followed by a clip with Post Malone saying, “Those Boxabl houses are so cool!”

Interested homebuyers can purchase their own one-bedroom Casita on the Boxabl website and have it delivered and installed within a day. And with Boxabl’s Goldiblox construction, multiple Casita homes can be joined to create a multi-bedroom home.

At $60,000 per Casita unit, it would take six of them to get close to today’s median home price. That said, we’re not downplaying the other costs that go with choosing this option. There are many—from shipping and installation to permitting and roofing.

But for some buyers in your community, this could be a viable path to homeownership, even if they’re looking for something with three to five bedrooms.

Musk isn’t the only celebrity showing interest in the Boxabl concept. The aforementioned clip of Post Malone also appeared in a recent Instagram carousel post with a 3D Casita tour and a brief video showing the home’s quick setup. Like Musk, Malone can esaily afford multi-million-dollar properties, but he appreciates Boxabl’s contribution to more affordable housing solutions.

The question is, will the Casita actually catch on as an affordable housing option?
