On today’s Hot Sheet, Byron Lazine reviewed the March PPI report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showing producer prices rose 0.5% on the month and 4.0% year over year, the fastest annual increase since early 2023.

He also covered the NAR report showing existing-home sales declined in March as higher rates weighed on demand while limited inventory pushed prices to a record high for the month.

For today’s final topic, Byron unpacked ATTOM’s 2025 Property Tax Analysis showing total tax levies hit $396.8 billion, up 3.7% year over year, with the average bill rising to $4,427 despite falling home values.
