Imagine being offered $1,000,000 to complete everything you’ve been procrastinating on in a single day.
Could you do it?
The Million Dollar Day (MDD) strategy, inspired by Mark Hoverson, isn’t just about earning more money; it’s about clearing mental clutter, increasing efficiency, and building momentum for lasting success. Honestly, if you ask me, that kind of clarity and momentum is worth more than any dollar amount.
When you master true productivity and become efficient with your time—the most valuable asset we have—you’ll find that you’re able to accomplish a lot more than you realize. Even more importantly, you’ll gain a clear understanding of what deserves more of your time, and what needs to be cut.
As Realtors, many of us live our lives as if they are one never-ending, chaotic to-do list. Well, let this serve as a guide to help you clear out that list, buy back your time, and delete the mental clutter that might be keeping you stuck.
Why I love the Million Dollar Day (and 3 Ways Realtors Can Benefit from It)
Before we get started, I just did a training on this inside of my free Realtor community, The Neighborhood. You can check it out here.
1. Eliminate Business Bottlenecks
We tend to get bogged down with seemingly ‘simple’ business tasks: updating your database, setting up that drip campaign, or updating your business cards.
The Million Dollar Day helps you tackle these long-overdue tasks so you can operate efficiently and see what you may need or want to outsource in the future!
2. Get Ahead in Lead Generation
If you’ve been putting off prospecting or social media marketing, the MDD forces you to get it done in one focused day, with no excuses.
3. Reduce Stress and Mental Clutter
By addressing pending personal and professional tasks, you free up mental space to focus on high-value activities like closing deals and building relationships.
How to Run a Million Dollar Day for Maximum Productivity
📌Tessabella’s Pro Tip: I like to pre-schedule these into my calendar at least 1x per quarter. Sometimes I do it more frequently, but having these blocked out ahead of time allows me to make sure nothing gets too backlogged on my to-do list.
Step 1: Make a Procrastination List
Write down EVERYTHING you’ve been putting off in key areas of life:
- Business Administration (e.g., set up an LLC, update CRM, schedule professional photos)
- Money-Making Tasks (e.g., run a Facebook ad, follow up with leads, plan content)
- Household & Personal (e.g., deep clean office, replace lightbulbs, clear clutter)
- Relationships (e.g., call past clients, engage on social media, network)
- Health & Well-being (e.g., schedule a massage, meal prep, book a workout session)
📌Tessabella’s Pro Tip: Write down an estimate of how long you’ve been procrastinating on each task on your list. Seeing the accumulated delay can be a huge motivator!

Step 2: Schedule Your Million Dollar Day
Pick a day within the next week to dedicate to your ‘million dollar day.’ This is non-negotiable-block off your calendar and commit.
Set a goal: Aim to complete as many procrastinated tasks as possible within the day.
Step 3: Execute Your Million Dollar Day
Now, it’s time to take action. Here’s how to stay focused:
- Use the Pomodoro Technique: Work in 25-minute sprints with 5-minute breaks.
- Batch Similar Tasks: Group together follow-ups, database updates, and admin tasks for efficiency.
- Outsource or Bring in Help: Think ahead when you look at your list, is there anything you can delegate or outsource? Or perhaps you can recruit a friend, colleague, spouse or family member to help you tackle some of the tasks on your list to ensure you get the most accomplished!
- Stay Accountable: Partner with a fellow realtor or check in with The Neighborhood community for support.
NOTE: If your list is extremely long, you might need a FEW days (instead of just one). Don’t worry; whatever you don’t get done on your first million-dollar day, immediately schedule another one, as soon as possible, and repeat it as many times as needed until you clear your list completely!
Maximize Daily Productivity with Tesabella’s POWER 5 Method
While the Million Dollar Day is great for clearing procrastination, maintaining daily productivity requires a system.
The POWER 5 Method simplifies your focus to the five most important tasks for the day:
- 30 minutes of prospecting (calls, emails, door-knocking)
- 30 minutes of follow-up (nurturing leads, checking in with clients)
- 1 social media post (market updates, client success stories)
- 10–20 minutes of learning (real estate trends, negotiation skills)
- 30 minutes in your database (cleaning up tasks, adding notes, tracking activity)
Each morning, write down your POWER 5. If your day gets derailed, you’ll still accomplish key money-making activities!
